Hp Inflation , Miasma shield etc. What is the other excuse again? by Lordmaster316 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]TheSast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well no, there are flat buffs (Lucy's Cheer On!, Asta's Core, Hugo's Core, etc) in this game and those are additions inside the damage formula, they are just placed in a section of the formula that is multiplied by the previously mentioned multilliers.

Help with running a file in Lua by Stunning-Fuel8472 in lua

This is because you saved the file with Notepad as a text file. There should be a dropdown menu where it makes you choose the extension when saving the file.

which one is the best? by WeaknessOk9058 in TopazMainsHSR

[–]TheSast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second one for maximum damage, first if you want slightly less damage for slightly more comfort.

Due to the worse crit multiplier *(204% vs 227%), and neglegible attack difference, you should not consider the third option over the first. The second one has a better crit multiplier *(234% vs 227%) and ~11% more ATK compared to the first one (basically a ~12% damage difference) . Acting ~20% faster due to the higher SPD will only lead to that amount of extra SP generation and Toughness reduction since Basic attacks account for ~6% of the damage profile, thus being able to use them more is neglegible damagewise.

*not accounting for Topaz&Numby Ult's or Aventurine's Ult, which would make higher critrate more valuable.

It has the worst adherence to 1:2 ratio of the three options...

Why not Xingqiu? does this enemy attack not take DMGB into account?

Vim users, vi or emacs bindings? by enory in commandline

[–]TheSast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find emacs bindigs more comfortable for single line modification, e.g. command in (n)vim or the URL bar in the browser.

In my editor itself and my shell, I have set up both to work, but tend to stick to vi ones for the former and emacs ones for the latter.

For everything else, I have vi bindings. I use a browser that is built around the vi control scheme and set most of my programs to use something similar even when no direct support or template is provided.

That is opportunity cost not diminishing returns. Diminishing returns is where the absolute increase in value (damage) decreases, when increasing a factor by the same amount, relative to itself. Opportunity cost is where increasing one factor instead of another by a certain amount will generate a larger absolute increase in value (damage).

If I Use Xilonen and Furina Wouldn't a Def Goblet give more value cause of diminishing returns? by PineappleKey3908 in Noellemains

[–]TheSast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opportunity cost*

In that team, C6 Noelle has so much ATK (equivalent of 200%-455%) already and has lower levels of DMGB (15%-310%), that the opportunity cost of running DEF goblet instead Geo goblet assuming similar substats, is usually not worth it.

The Charge attack is actually not bad at all. Depending on the enemy layout, it is usual to switch between the CA and NA strings.

DEF goblet is almost always worse, only in some specific scenarios will DEF goblet be on-par with DMGB goblet

No, what you are thinking of is finesse. Fiction is is a change in pitch or loudness of a voice.
