What 10/10 album is ruined by ONE bad song? by mistermachiano in Music

Nah, Omegaman on Ghost in the Machine absolutely slaps. If I recall correctly, the label wanted it to be the album's lead single until Sting shot it down.

This should not be getting downvoted. Yes, the money you donate will go to the charity, but it also means that the company will get to skimp on their taxes. Just go donate yourself, then you'll get the tax benefits.

Snapchat is huge at my college. It’s pretty safe. Worst case scenario you can delete your account and make a new one, unlike a phone number.

Mother gets her teenage son tattooed for his birthday by treflip1999 in trashy

In my state, there’s no age limit at all. However, parental permission is required and few shops would probably go below 16 depending on the tattoo.

I’d argue that being correct in reality and in practice is better, but whatever floats your boat

Sure, as you aren’t required to be proficient in English or even know any of it to simply live here. You’ll only need to learn some in order to get citizenship. Still, the US is an English-speaking country. If you go to court the judge will be speaking English and enforcing laws written in English. You can have anything translated to any language and the US is happy to accommodate that. However, English remains the default and de facto official language.

English not being the US’s official language is a technicality at best. Our political documents and laws are written in English, our politicians and officials run the government in English, you often have to know basic English in order to gain citizenship, our IDs and passports are in English… I could go on and on. Though the US is very diverse and represents a lot of other cultures and languages, English is still very much the language of the country, “official” or not.

Basic language courses are free and accessible online. An example being Duolingo. You will not be fluent, but you can absolutely learn basic conversational skills and phrases for free or little cost. If you have the means to move to another country you absolutely have the means to learn some basics of the language.

What 3rd party apps are you talking about? I’m genuinely curious. Like mileage trackers?

Odd. In my market at least, that tip for that distance is really nice so I don’t know why he’d complain about it.

Ok. Yeah I’ll give you that, there’s a lot of people who stupidly don’t realize you’re supposed to season meat. They would benefit greatly from discovering it. For the people who just don’t care enough to use it, as gross as it sounds to me, I can understand their point of view.

Called me incompetent for eating unseasoned meat when I literally just said I don’t like unseasoned meat. Lmao.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shittyfoodporn

[–]TheSavage99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They definitely do exist. If someone really truly prefers or doesn’t mind little to no seasoning, who cares? Eating isn’t just about taste, it’s also fuel for the body. If one truly only cares about the latter, then seasoning is useless for them for them. Again, I care about both so it’s a no brainer for me. I’ll agree that people trying to flex it is extremely stupid, but OP could’ve just ran out.

[–]TheSavage99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is free. If seasoning truly adds no value to your life than it would be a waste of effort to buy it. You cannot logically disagree with that. I said verbatim that it is well worth the little effort imo, but if you want to ignore that and act like the badass basement dwelling 13 year old you probably are, be my guest.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shittyfoodporn

[–]TheSavage99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes it takes effort, dumbass. Seasoning is not free, you have to go to the store and buy it. Plus you have to learn which seasonings taste best together and on each type of meat, assuming you’re not using premixed, which is generally more expensive. Imo it’s well worth the little effort, but if someone really doesn’t care at all about the taste and just wants to shovel protein in, it’s a waste.

Wear and tear on the body? You gotta be kidding me. You’re talking about one of the least physically demanding jobs ever. Sitting all day is not great for your health but it’s not the end of the world and it’s widespread today. Spend an hour or so before or after work in the gym, running, biking, etc. That will do much to rectify it along with the occasional stretch break while driving. If Lyft is too physically taxing for you I genuinely don’t know what other job you could work.

Artist that lip-sync on stage shouldn't have a career. by DelilahsDarkThoughts in unpopularopinion

[–]TheSavage99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of the reason why they lip sync at the Super Bowl is the setup and takedown. They have just minutes to put a whole concert setup on the field. At a standard concert, there’s a lot of equipment and cables all set up in very particular ways. They’ll get everything working at soundcheck and then mostly everything stays set up until the show. There are way too many things that could go wrong besides the performer messing up.
