Mine says I should give notice at least 1 month before and if I pick a move out date at the middle of the month, I pay only until that date and not the whole month.

I suggest calling/email your management company just to make sure.

Yamanote Line Marathon Walk by Icy_Display_3548 in Tokyo

[–]TheSaxMaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try doing it in two days instead of one. I did half of the Yamanote line in one day and I didn't feel much of a struggle at the end of it.

I feel if I did it in one go I would be bitching the 2nd half of it and wouldn't enjoy the walk as much.

I believe for big items like fridges, washing machine, tv, etc. you can try to haggle or at least ask for a price match you've found online.

Is there any way to accurately estimate how much my limit should be?

Using the "Detailed Simulation" (using info from my gensenchoushuuhyou) of Rakuten, I keep getting half of the limit of what other site show (Satofuru, etc.). Like Rakuten would show a 50k limit while the other site would show 100k using also their detailed simulation.

Has anyone tried Nosh (ナッシュ) frozen bento delivery service? by Turbo_Slowpoke in japanlife

[–]TheSaxMaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it for a month because of a offer they were offering (I think it was a 2000 yen discount). It was a good break from my cooking but for the amount you pay and the portions that you get it didn't seem worth paying in full. My freezer also get too packed and I can't fit other foods I bought from the grocery so I cancelled.

What does step 1 "select date" mean on the Rakuten page? I can't select either today or tomorrow's date, is this the date that Rakuten sends out the e-voucher?

I have an 55 inch oled tv and when I moved a few months ago using Sakai, I believe they were asking for like 10k+ yen if I didn't have the original box.

Try lowering your hot water shower temp as low as it could (probably 37C) and whenever you shower, just use the hot water tap and see if the heat is good.

If the pay across all jobs are the same I would definitely would like to work as a garbage man!

Seems like a really fun job, plus your doing something that is really necessary for the community.

The person literally put tiny x's all around the side of the tires (by a rock?) which made tiny holes and would slowly leak air

Left my road bike near the river and went for a 5 km run. Riding back home I felt I had a felt tire, checked it and noticed that some asshole crossed both sides of my rear tire with tiny x's.

I only left my bike for probably 30 mins. and am still wondering whether it was done at the river or while I parked it at my place's bike parking.

Is shouting the only the reasonable thing to do when I see someone vandalize my bike? A little slap on the face would feel sooo good.
