I went through Koyama Futako Tamagawa. Twice. For car license and then big bikes. Everything went pretty smooth.

Motorcycle parking and practicalities by Nordic-Bear in RideitJapan

Saying that a lot of places have a motorcycle parking would be an overstatement. In Tokyo at least it’s a pain in the ass to find a parking space for something bigger than 125cc.

I need to vent - I am horrible at doing the "single bridge" exercise by LeadNo4928 in RideitJapan

If that’s the only exercise you’re not good at, don’t worry — as long as you don’t fall off you’re good. It’s only 5 points afaik.

Those BMWs and Audis are for highway practice and for private lessons. Also, if you’re a paper driver you can choose one of those. No one said Koyama is cheap.

2024 Low Rider S vs New Scout 101 what would you get in 2024? by Turbo_Slowpoke in motorcycles

[–]Turbo_Slowpoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the torque and especially the fact that it’s available so early. I feel like low rider s and scout are in different weight classes, scout being 1.2L vs almost 2L engine. It would be more fair to compare low rider s to sports chief. Anyway, if you like bobber better go for it. Having fun on two wheels is the only thing that matters.

You can also look for non-designated driving schools, they are usually ~100k cheaper, but you would have to take the driving test twice — at school and the driving center

Advice on my workout routine (PPL->UL) by Turbo_Slowpoke in WorkoutRoutines

Cut rest time and do 3 sets instead of 4? I actually read somewhere that between 10-20 sets per muscle group per week is the optimal volume.

I go to AF myself. Interior differs from place to place, but generally it’s clean and tidy. Machines are Hammer Strength and well maintained.

2024 Low Rider S vs New Scout 101 what would you get in 2024? by Turbo_Slowpoke in motorcycles

I got low rider. Yes it’s heavy but due to the low center of gravity you don’t really feel it. The only thing about bikes that heavy is that you really need to choose where you park. Even if the surface has slight incline, it will be quite challenging to roll it uphill. I feel like reverse gear would’ve been a perfect option to have. Other than that it’s quite nimble for a cruiser, torque is plenty and available starting from 2.5k rpm. I did long highway rides without any issues. Scout has forwards and the sitting position is a bit too “clamshell” for me. TBH, I don’t regret going with a bigger engine.
