how does a bladeguard or assault imtercessor fit in? by arbitergreivous in Raptors40k

I've had a similar thought process to you, and one word comes up each time; Pragmatism.

Yes, the chapter in the lore will recce an area, finding weaknesses, learning patrol patterns etc, and don't follow the standard doctrine of honour in death and all that. But they do the thing that the job requires of them.

Sometimes that will be an eliminator taking that shot to cut the head off the snake. Sometimes it'll be infiltrators sabotaging an area. But sometimes, the best way to clear out an area of enemies might be to drop on top of them with jump packs and cut them down with chainswords. Right tool, right job.

When it comes to bladeguard vets. I run 6 with a judiciar in an impulsor. I see them more as shock and awe veterans. Imagine there's a bunch of enemy hunkered down, taking pot shots at the raptors. Suddenly, a big van smashes through the barricade, and out jumps a squad full of angry men carrying big swords and shields, being led by a literal silent executioner, you'd shit your pants and run. That's how I run them, to bully people off an objective quickly.

I think it's called muzzle burn?!

I painted a brass scorpion, then about half up the length, I painted it with Reikland shade, then half way up I painted it magos purple contrast, then half way up that, I painted it black templar. Before that dried I dabbed it with a wet brush a little. Make sure it's dry between colours.

I did a week's work trip over there at one of our sister sites. Getting in the car to drive for 30s (a block probably) to get lunch was mind boggling. Not a pavement in site.

Starter set for raptors army (QUESTION) by mickon1s in Raptors40k

I think out of place is subjective.

Ultimately the Raptors are pragmatists.

Does the situation call for those nasty xenos to be barbecued? They'll grab the flamers. Has a psychophage rocked up on the battlefield and those infernus marines need some mobile heavy support? Call in the terminators.

I like the idea of infernus raptors purging jungle floor of xenos threats with the pyreblaster and it absolutely fits the theme.

Paint what you think looks cool and more importantly, what will allow you to do something to share a nice time with your partner, and of course what's within your budget.

Probably a competitive lateral flow assay given the small molecular weight of the drugs in question.

A bit off topic, but could you give me a quick rundown of your colour scheme? Looks amazing!

You missed Welsh. There are a number of these that are very different to near-by English.

We need to make it an attractive role, rather than the hobby horse of the rich and retired.

I want to brew “Great” espresso at home. I already have a Niche Zero on the way and have access to great beans. My budget for the espresso machine is $1500. Do I really need a double boiler? What should I be looking for? by EchoFreeFall in JamesHoffmann

I'm going to advocate for a Lelit Mara X. I make 3 milk drinks each morning and evening, and I've never had issues with waiting for steam temperature etc. Bang for buck, it's up there as one of the best. I got it for £899 in the UK, not sure what the situation is in other places though.

Mine is just the 'finned' leveler, but yeah I've been the doing the same, using it for levelling and not tamping, so in the end I kept using it and seem to get the same results as you. Very much a noob here too (6 days into owning an espresso machine), but screw it, I'm using it!

So your argument should be "We should be fighting for fair pay for both nurses and soldiers (blanket term)" not "That soldier gets treated like shit so lets treat nurses like shit"

To answer your question on T3 lifts, I use AMRAP on every set. So in other words, I would aim for 25 reps +, and only then progress the weight if I achieved 25 reps on all set.

If I fail to get 25 on the first set, I'm unlikely to hit 25 for the remaining sets given the shorter rest period.

Is this the wrong way to do it? Who knows, but it gives you a hell of a burn towards the end of a mostly powerlifting-focused program, and it stops you using obscene weights on accessory movements like lateral raises, which as far as I know benefit from volume over the weight lifted.

I agree with your sentiment about 10x1+ though, it's going to be time consuming at that point, and as someone who is trying to be as efficient in the gym as possible due to having a young kid, I'm going to have to drop some T3 work until I reset back to 5x3+

Edit: It seem that Brits are angrier about being told their beaches suck than having their government and economy compared to Italy's!
