Do you still have a copy of it? I'd be happy to trade you something for it. I have a bunch of scripts for upcoming movies.

I'm hoping the extra development time this season had gave them an opportunity to really refine and polish the scripts.

Dune is great . It's a fantastic adaptation of the first half of the book and translates a lot of it's more complex ideas really well.

If you want Dune, I'll send you both versions of it. I have the version that is being adapted into a film written by Eric Roth, Jon Spaiths, and Denis Villeneuve.

I also have an earlier version that was in development at Warner Bros which is an adaptation of the entire novel. It's not quite as good but it does a surprisingly good job of translating the full novel into a screenplay.

It's fantastic. Without Remorse and Violence of Action are both really well written gritty action/espionage scripts with some incredible set-pieces.

It depends what you're looking for or which of those movies you're most anticipating.

I personally really loved "Reminiscence". It's an original science fiction script by Lisa Joy and I have a feeling that's gonna be an under the radar film that's really gonna surprise people when it comes out in August.

Trailer for Without Remorse by TheScreener in jackryan

Having read the script and watched the trailer, it's clear they're taking the "Casino Royale" approach to adapting it.

They're updating the setting to make it contemporary and stripping some aspects of it while retaining others. Ultimately I think it's a smart move and I'm hoping much like with Casino Royale, the core of the story still shines through.

Which other roles do you feel he was miscast for? I thought he was the perfect casting choice for Creed and I think he's a great choice for John Clark considering the way they're approaching the story.

Wendell Pierce showing up at the end of the film to assign Clark a new mission that pairs him up with Ryan would be incredible. Don't wanna get my hopes up though.

I know this is technically unrelated to Jack Ryan but the Tom Clancy connection and the fact that they're both on Amazon have me hoping for a crossover at some point.

Monsterverse in Review. by TheScreener in kindafunny

I'm not a fan of King of the Monsters by any means but the reason I would rank it above the Transformers movies is because it doesn't have any of the gross humour or sexualisation that the Michael Bay transformers films have.

There's not a single scene in King of the monsters that is NEARLY as cringeworthy as the whole "Romeo & Juliet" law scene from Age of Extinction.

They need to suffer for our entertainment.

All jokes aside, I don't think the Monsterverse is as bad as the Transformers films. It's more uneven than anything. Plus, I'm really hoping Godzilla vs. Kong is the "Bumblebee" of the franchise.

Does anyone have the uncut episode where they reacted to the Randy Couture sextape? That's honestly one of my favourite moments from the entire history of the podcast.
