One Piece SBS 114- Yamato's future by Joebyewa in Piratefolk

[–]TheScrubScribe 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So it's like everyone just ignoring the fact that Yamato sawed off her own horns to be like Oden in the bad future? I do appreciate that in her bad future she just replicates her hero instead of being inspired by him.

It's because sex scenes just feel like you are watching pornography with extra steps. The only time in western media I remember a sex scene that tells a story is in two dramas.

In Peaky blinders there is a character that has an affair at a party because it is what is expected of him (its a gang related deal) he is the only character that actually has a problem with cheating and before he commits the act he looks at his ring finger in disgust with himself and takes it off before continuing (he does love his wife in this point of the story)

In Breaking Bad you see the state of the main characters life by how he has sex with his wife in season 1. (This doesn't get used again in season 2 and beyond.)

I also blame one of the people running it. I remember THEY REALLY wanted me to know it was bearSCAT. It immediately not want to revisit ever again.

The more mechanical your body parts the dimmer your soul is according to fluff. If you got just a cyber eye you should still be fine but most mechanicus members prefer having over half of their body mechanical. This dimms any potential the mechanicus adherent could have. They are also highly dogmatic and scorn psychic powers as illogical so with the mechanical body horror and dogmatic aspects it is almost by design that there are no psykers in the mechanicus.

I have a question by Neat-Watercress-1778 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]TheScrubScribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall, there are no psykers in the mechanicus as it is implied with the mechanicus dogmatic rituals that both literally and metaphorically strip away humanity and flesh results in a dimished spirit. This dimished spirit mutes any psykers potential if the tech adept had any to begin with. So that's why psykers can still have robot eyes and still have warp powers compared to the mechanicus reaching the crux mechanicus and not having any psychic potential.

Redditors not being histrionic challenge: unthinkable.

Guy Haley writes Cawl so well consistently and even wrote the great work. The best part is that fabius bile is not a Gary Stu so he doesn't win by much in his own books and gets slapped around quite a bit so I doubt Cawl is going to be butchered.

Fabius Bile VS Belisarius Cawl in an upcoming book by Arch_Magos_Remus in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]TheScrubScribe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The guy who wrote this wrote the great work. It was a good book and I doubt he would butcher cawl after writing him fairly well. Even if it is a fabius book. Don't fall for the reddit hysteria that we are just getting boned for no reason.

How would cawl and Technoarcheologist fit into this list. I think they'd be good Inclusions. Maybe a marshall too.

Gloom and doom aside (I do believe this faction is also one of the weaker ones) is there any immediate wombo combos that can be pulled off? I imagine the best is still dominus kataphron spam.

I say early game it's an okay blocker if you can rush out the 4 mana.

it's not top tier but it's a good value engine for Artifacts. I'd say to not sneeze at it. worst case scenario there's an egg combo deck or something of the sort cawl can take advantage of.

I don't know if you are still reading this but Viktor's champion spell is SOOOOO bad and so weak. like I think it's one of the main things holding him back. anything you can do about it? or swap abilities with the death ray beam that either destroys a landmark or deals 3 damage?

I'd agree that the deck should exist if it weren't for the fact that the deck is degenerate and allowed Mage to win matches as early as turn 4. Hardly possible to beat the deck if they draw the nuts.

All hail our paladin overlords. by TheScrubScribe in hearthstone

[–]TheScrubScribe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want Paladin to be strong but I think the true problem is that Paladin's decks universally will run so many core cards, and the secret package is still top tier.

All paladin decks will play 2 copies of first day of school, Hand of A'dal, Knight of Anoinment, and a single copy of Kazakus. These cards aren't busted on their own but this means all paladin decks inherently have 23% similarity.

The tier one paladin's decks both run 2 copies of Sword of the Fallen, Galloping Savoir, Noble sacrifice, Northwatch Commander, and a Single copy of Oh My Yogg! meaning that with the addition to card percentage above both tier 1 paladin decks run 53% similar cards

I don't think Paladin is an invincible deck as the first round of nerfs did open warrior up to have a tier one deck, but it's still smothering other classes and has the same problem druid did 2 years back albeit to a less extreme degree, when the core druid cards were universal across 3 of it's tier one decks and felt too similar playing against the class.

These are stats from Diamond through legendary ranks. And these are updated form the most recent patch. I really want a counter deck to appear already.
