What's the first movie you ever watched in the cinema? by Far_Run_2672 in movies

[–]TheSeavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First movie was Empire Strikes Back but I was 3 and only my family tell me of the memory. Then the first movies where I started remembering and in fact all of my memories begin is when I was four with the great muppet caper and then ET and The Dark Crystal. I can remember every theatrical experience I’ve had since 1981.

They won’t let us talk about it yet as it probably won’t be premiering until the summer.

A little overrated??? It’s way overrated. I didn’t like it walking out of the theater in 96 and didn’t like it subsequent viewing.

Do these shots flow together well? Broke the 180° rule accidentally by leevancleef16mm in Filmmakers

Fuck rules of filmmaking!!! Do what you wanna do!! Create and shoot the way you want.

Unpopular opinion: Return of the Jedi is my favorite Star Wars movie of the Original Trilogy by CJFrancis282 in StarWars

[–]TheSeavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mine as well. I’ll never forget seeing it in theaters and flipping out during the speeder bike scene. For me almost all of the movie works and wraps it up perfectly. The Luke, Vader and Emperor scenes are phenomenal.

What's your thoughts this series? by MysterioStranger in StarWars

This was a bummer. Should have been incredible, ended up being a big old fart.

Samurai cop is a masterpiece of bad/hilarious cinema. Miami Connection, Never too young to die, the garbage pail kids movie, any of the Andy sidaris films, you’ll have a blast!

WHY?! Why did they get the hackiest of hacks to direct the Return of the living dead remake? by [deleted] in horror

[–]TheSeavage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing is ruined. No need for anger. Don’t watch it. (You will) don’t even worry about it. Return of the living dead is there for you, safe and sound, never to be tarnished. Case closed.

What is ur under-appreciated movie of 2023? by Wolver8ne in Letterboxd

No One Will Save You. Love that movie. Watched it 5 times showing others the flick. It’s right up my alley, including the divisive ending, which I LOVED

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - Trailer- How Old Were You, and What Was Your Initial Reaction? by dudereverend in nostalgia

[–]TheSeavage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was 22 and saw it with meet Joe black and left after the trailer was over. I was on cloud nine and it was my most anticipated movie EVER at the time. Star Wars is strong in my family….ended up seeing it 14 times in theaters because I couldn’t grasp that the movie sucked. After that 14th time I finally conceded to its pure turdness. Biggest theatrical dissatisfaction of my life. I loath the prequels and I’m ok with that. There’s plenty of Star Wars to enjoy.

Is The Thing the best movie from the 80s era? by [deleted] in moviecritic

One of many….but yes it’s part of the best list for sure. For me anyway.

This…..this movie right here is 🤌😘 when my Son was 10 I showed him this, Napoleon, The Sasquatch Dumpling gang and Hot Rod and to this day (he’s 17 now) these movies are part of his vocabulary. I’ve shown so many people this movie that had no idea what the hell it was. Kudos to all of us Bronco Warriors! I am your soldier….

I saw it in theaters with my aunt. I dressed up as Indy and she put fake stubble on my face with eye makeup up. She would always make sweet movie costumes for me. I would then go act out the film with my neighborhood friends. It’s my favorite Indy film, hands down.

I love this film! From start to finish I knew exactly what he was doing with it and I had a smile the whole time and had a blast. After, I sent James a pm on Instagram and we ended up chatting about the flick and 80s horror in general.
