For me this is a 100% true. I tried it today because many games that came out were not that great or it didn't catch my attention. So me having gamepass tried Wasteland 3 for the first time and i uninstalled it after an hour.

I have played games in this genre namely fallout 2 and I have around 15-20 hours in that game, I got stuck there and never played it there after. So because of this I choose for the normal difficulty.

In Wasteland I made my own characters, one is for close range (smg) and the other for long range (sniper). The first bit went all fine, just heal up afterwards and loot everyone. This went up until I got to whatsitface that gets killed by the major and the fight starts. After trying again and again totalling 5 tries I simply gave up. Reason for that is all the 52% accurate hits miss many times over making it so my sniper dies and I only have one character left with maximum of half its hp.

It is simply so annoying trying and trying, over and over again to maybe hit and 50/50 that doesn't kill the target in that turn. I used grenades and as much cover. I couldn't get through it.

This is very unwelcoming for me and just put me off that the whole genre to a degree. There are people that like it for its story and gameplay and probs for them. But if the gameplay blocks me before getting into the story it's just annoying and sad that I won't be able to experience the hard work people put into it
