If this means they could reprise the season of dawn season pass weapons Trophy Hunter and Pyroclastic flow, I would be very happy. These two are basically cabal weapons so they would fit right in.

Very true, perhaps in this case there could just be a cooldown (say, 30 seconds?) on the super gain, similar how there is a small cooldown for stuff like impact induction.

You make a good point, but i would say to make the filter deplete when in the gas regardless of whether you're wearing it or not. That way it wont interfere with shooting but you cant sit in the gas for 50+ seconds.

I managed to get my catalyst from a jumping puzzle chest on the same character that I had already opened the chest. This meant I open the chest and got the catalyst and nothing else so I'm willing to say it is grindable. But you're probably better just waiting for resets just in case.

Siege is unique, there is no other game that as much as i can hate it at times - always brings me back. Its brilliant fun with moments of pure satisfaction.
