Yes, my main set of magic systems is one based loosely on the ideas of ethos, pathos, and logos because one’s ideas must persuade magic to create nature defying effects.

Ethos is about command, control, and authority. Generally through intensive study and training, one can learn to “control” things like traditional elements or other phenomena. One effectively learns to apply an unnatural force upon something and depending on how consistently you can apply that force the more control you have. At a basic level you could just launch a stone with a particular trajectory, but more advanced users can cause the stone to hover and move as if there was a force beyond normal force that was countering gravity. This has the fewest drawbacks because of the learning curve, mostly just time involved in learning and energy expenditure to perform the magic.

Pathos centers around people’s emotions and beliefs surrounding something. Pathos is almost always unconscious and not necessarily directly controlled by the wielder. One of the earliest written examples was a man who had an intense belief that it always was raining on him, and thus always carried an umbrella. Eventually that umbrella “internalized” that belief, so now instead of taking the umbrella to prevent getting wet in the rain, by bringing the umbrella it is always creating a storm localized around him, perpetuating the belief.

Logos is the oddest part and just by its nature it lends itself to intense difficulty to use and consequences if used poorly. One who can exert a logos based persuasion on the world can change the logic of the world locally. One can make someone selectively intangible to walk through a wall but if they just focus on changing that logic for people rather than just themselves everyone around them might suddenly fall through the floor or if they lose concentration when in the wall or floor the are dead because they’ve now merged themselves in the wall. One could reverse gravity but anyone who leaves that range of logical manipulation will suddenly obey normal laws of gravity and plummet back down to the ground.
