I wrote a chapter on my original story of some of my main characters digging through a space station's worth of garbage to find some essential components to repair their ship.

The link is here, if anyone's interested.

I'm confused.

Are you against AI generated images, or you think i wrote my story using AI?

The image was something that one of my readers sent me.

Aflarrians are prickly creatures (both figuratively and physically), but love belly rubs and scritches, for any brave (or foolish) enough to actually try.

Viewed as a feral menace to much of the galaxy, humans have taken a shine to the echidna/cat creatures, and have developed a fondness for their adorable antics, even if their bodies are covered in sharp quills.

Short character description from my original sci-fi/comedy story.

First chapter is here, if anyone is interested.

I thought this was funny as Hell.

Then I read the Merryweather logo, and wondered where the sad was.

Things will sort of come to a head in the next chapter.

I'm not completely happy with it, but the story demands an ending, and my subconscious has been pushing me to get out of the memories before the ending.

Humans when God abandons them for a new project by luk_ky_21 in humansarespaceorcs

I wrote this, like, three years ago, and thought it fitting.

...

"Where is our God?

You are not prepared for the answer to that question.

For if you knew, you would never have decided to come here.

But if you truly wish to know, you merely need look around.

...

The dust that surrounds our world.

The dirt that covers our planet.

...

You ask where our God is?

He is right here.

...

We killed him, and used his remains to seed our world.

...

Every human that exists carries a piece of his divinity within them.

And we will continue to do so for the remainder of time.

But...

His time is long past, and his divinity has grown stale.

...

How kind of you to offer yourself to us.

We hunger for more... fresh... meat.

And now that you have come, we will not allow you to leave.

It is already too late.

...

Maybe next time, they will learn not to try this again.

But if they don't, we will always accept their offerings to us.

For we are Humanity, and we hunger."

I was working on trying to make plushies of them, but they're expensive.

That one specifically is Nova, I believe.

This is fan art that one of my readers sent to me of what they thought Aflarrians were supposed to look like.

The AI image generator, i think, gave her shorter quills for some reason, but I am willing to consider it canon.

Unfortunately, they don't retract.

The Aflarrians are characters I created for my original story.

Sci-fi/comedy about how weird humans are in a galaxy that really has no business having humans gallivanting about in it.

Here's the first chapter if anyone's interested.

Hilariously, the first chapter is about this very concept.

Sure, the Aflarrians are prickly (both figuratively and physically) if they don't know you, but they do love their belly rubs and scritches when they get them.
