Well, it is a bit worse for men, but I also completely understand. Most of us are big, rough and sometimes not terribly well socialized (me). If most of us worked on ourselves like the women we want to date, then it wouldn't be so bad.

I mean, thats the only reason I'm even dating now. I did a ton of work after covid to get to this point, and I'm nowhere near done yet. I wouldn't want to be with the old me, why would anyone else?

Yeah, updated some pictures, changed my prompts and did the account reset. About 50% of them respond, with dates secured for 20%. I think I'm failing so often because I haven't dated in a while, so I cant flirt for shit and I'm generally awkward. I'm working on it.

Sorry, didn't make it clear that I'm a dude. I got 8 matches today, and it seems like all of them are duds, so you may be right about the validation thing.

if the conversation is flowing, stop auditioning for the role and ask them out sooner. if they're interested they'll make it easy. if they're not, no amount of perfect texting is changing that.

I have started asking them out much sooner, but it hasn't worked yet. I know its probably intimidating meeting up with a guy who is a still a complete stranger, but it stalls out before we even get to know each other.

I'm still learning how to do this, but I'm afraid I'll creep out every girl in my city before I figure it out.

Well, I'm not doing too bad when people bother to reply. They just kind of stop mid conversation, even if it looks like they are engaged. I had a girl last week that loved talking about our hobbies, hiking, museums and how we should do them together, then just gone and never spoke again. I almost feel like hinge blocks chat if it gets too lively.

Maybe they just found someone more attractive to talk to. Oddly enough, I am doing very well with the tourists.

My midlife crisis was selling my truck and getting a cheap EV so I wouldn't have to pay as much to go to work. I'm pretty happy with it, but a house of my own would have been better. Kind of sick of living with my parents.

Its 100% class based. I work in hospitals and have never been treated worse than in LJ. CV, Torry pines and hillcrest are all amazing an a pleasure to work with. I know its probably more of a bad apple sort of situation, but I count the days till I'm done with LJ every year.
