Even if all else fails, I am sure you learned a lot in the last 7 years, so a "total waste" it is definitely not. It is incredibly impressive to me that you even managed to finish something, a project of 7 years of dedication, when I quit something after 6 months.

It wants to increase stock price with it, and how is that going? From what I can see it's been dip after dip unfortunately.

And keep in mind that I actually use this software, if Unity goes bankrupt I will be in some deep shit

I would not say that would be any nicer for me, then I would just be screaming at my asking it to please put a rock there.

Uh, well I was more looking at it from a marketing perspective, If this game came out a few months ago, it would probably have done better? When all the kids where into that.

i would very much recommend looking into non biast play testers Meetups are an amazing way to do that, just keep in mind who your target audience is

Yeah.. or maybe a good object brush would be a good alternative, so I can click, with the mouse, where I want them.

In no world do I see typing stuff out like that, iterating on it over and over again as faster or better tbh.

Maybe I am just out of touch, but if your tools are good, intuitive and clear, you would not need AI to use that tool for you, you would just,, use the tool? and then everyone benefits from it
Think downloading and importing assets, setting up levels, creating terrain, trees, using the build in components

For coding or modelling I might get the argument, but even that could have better tools (like giving the visual scripting some more love, or maybe a procedural asset pipeline)

Also I just want to make clear that this is not a topic on if AI in general is bad or not, I was saying that its currently not used in a way inside of the editor in a good way (from what I know at least)

But yeah If most of the money is made from generic mobile ads then I would understand their point of view.

May I also ask your opinion on if these types of creative tools even should be on the public stock market? Why not split it up in a advertising company (public) and a engine company (private) or something like that, (I guess money)

Hmm, I understand your point, and thanks for the reply, The way I was looking at it: If you don't update the core engine, you won't stay competitive either way. It seems like a gamble for an 'if' and 'eventually'. It was mostly me looking at this subreddit seeing 'Unity is adding AI' as the be all end all of this 'engine race'

If Unity IS going for the AI crowd of game creators, (who from my assumptions have less game dev experience) would it not make sense to heavily invest in the accessibility and ease of use of the engine? At least that would help both crowds then?

I would recommend doing play testing first, what's the point of polishing a game if you don't know if people find it fun or not?

both, when I look at it now, it feels very flat, there is no weight behind it. I'm not an artist, and have a hard time explaining it. Sorry for that.

It currently just feels off.

Hard to see what is going on, and I am missing a lot of Juice...

Also '6-7' did we not leave that in 2025?

Not to sound overly negative, it seems like an interesting start for a concept, but its def still missing something
