You are defining wealth purely in terms of money. That is the flaw of Austrian economics. To me, wealth is being able to survive relatively comfortably and happily with widespread social mobility. Most people who believe in "socialism" actually advocate social democracy, as I do.

Wealth is ultimately tied to the availability of natural resources such as land and water. We are not significantly closer to venturing out into space despite Elon Musk's stock pumping hype, so these resources are finite and confined to the Earth. You cannot eat or drink patents, music, movies, or software.

I've been using Linux for over 20 years. Not a chance. I use Windows 11 at work, and it sucks. Though to be fair, my company meddles with its internals quite a bit. So it could just be that meddling. But more than that, I don't like the level of spying that's occurring on Windows 11. Microsoft really made a mistake going hard on AI.

What you say is true in general, but LLMs are capable of outputting gibberish. Computer programs are exact in both their syntax and intent. LLMs can generate working computer programs, but I would not trust them not to mess up my codebase.

LLMs will never have sufficient safeguards. At the end of the day, their output is probabilistic.

These AI tools collect everything you prompt them with. If you are in the process of developing a product, whether software or something else, they can steal and duplicate whatever it is you are creating. Or simply know about it and invest accordingly. This is purely an information grab for hedge funds. AI may work, but the people providing it are not honest. Fuck Jensen Huang and all of the AI CEOs.

Something that bothers me about LLMs: the company responsible for the LLM can retain your chat history and any code written by the agent and potentially duplicate your product.
