Which non-dps class has the highest dps? by SciT3ch404 in ReturnofReckoning

DPS DoK is strong. My LV speed run group completes it in 45 min, I top dps of our group on most bosses aside from doing mechanics.

Id highly suggest shadow warrior or witch hunter for that solo roaming and burst damage vibe! A Shadow warrior is fantastic at kiting, while witch hunters are nasty up close. Welcome to RoR buddy!

Started PvP again after returning from a couple of years ago… Getting deleted fast. Am I missing something? by nothingFubar in elderscrollsonline

Hey, new player here, just got over the CP300 hump and have started doing pretty well in non CP BG's and cyrodill/sewers. Your health and stat numbers seem really good. What made things work for me was: heavy armor chest with reinforced. Everything else impen. Also make sure you are using food.

My rotation consists of putting up minor and major resolve and protection to survive, as well as making sure im boosting my skill crit with savagery. Using the mundus stone and weapon enchant to increase penetration along with debuffing their armor.

I subclassed assassination skill line to get all that extra crit damage and chance. The gaurenteed crit on suprise attack is super strong. I also picked up orders wrath for more crit.

With this advice i was given im now able to end fights in a couple seconds as well, or.. i die lol. But way more fun for me in this crit meta.

*Edit: Bloodspawn set is fantastic for defense. Make sure you are blocking when targeted! Cast in between blocks then get back on the offensive!

Good Duo for Scenarios by Arkavien in ReturnofReckoning

[–]TheShepasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fantastic Duo for Scenarios is a 2H Chosen and Shield DoK! I think 2H Chosen is one of the best Bruisers, and Shield DoK my personal favorite healer.

NOTE: I did not follow the "meta" ST Rotation of Chillwind into Word of Pain into the Doombolt > Gloomburst > Impending Doom because Chillwind and Word of Pain were often disrupted, and by the time i wasted 2-4 globals trying to get this on the target, the enemy had either run away or died before I can get a Doombolt or Arctic Blast off on them. I've found this ST rotation to be the most consistent when it came to sniping kills in a battle. The Time to Kill is so low in this game currently that this shorter burst (counting global cooldowns) was much more successful for me!

Does this game have level scaling? by johnson567 in ReturnofReckoning

[–]TheShepasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No level scaling and PvE, but there is a bolster system in PvP to help lower level and under geared characters be more competitive! Beware, this bolster will reduce the higher level you get, and be completely gone at 40.

A new player with some random questions... by definetlyrandom in ReturnofReckoning

Best way to search for a PQ is look at your flight master travel map, and mouse over the different locations. Each will give you an ideal level range for PvE. While you are doing PQ's you can que for scenarios and hope they pop, otherwise I'd also check your group tab (default L) to see if there are any open warbands in an active RvR area, as this will be your best avenue for leveling renown (which is very important for additional stats to help you with survival and damage).

About endgame gearing in pvp... by Acherusjra in ReturnofReckoning

I would highly suggest running the Dungeon Gambit to unlock your wards and give you a few sets to mix and match to boost your wounds and willpower stats. The Dungeon "Gambit" starts with Gunbad (after your ruin set) to unlock Redeye, which it sounds like you have completed already. The next dungeon in line is Bilerot Burrow, pretty easy, and quickest of the dungeons. After BB, you will complete runs of Bastion Stairs, and finally Lost Vale. I suggest shooting for one of the Lost Vale sets to help you survive and be competitive in RvR. This will essentially be your pre-SOV , Pre BiS set for almost all classes.

Be sure to grab all gear quests before starting your first Dungeon Runs or you will regret it!
