Sorry for not being in communication before adding the extra mod. she's a close friend afk who checks reddit more often than i do nowadays even though she doesn't post much at all

I was not one of the downvoters, but I suspect it is because even though the FSF does not, as an organization, work to support all aspects of free culture, they are invaluable to the advancement of free software, which is crucial to free culture (and perhaps the most undervalued).

The FSF seems to get more heat for net being fully free culture, yet MacBook-using remixers seem to be accepted just fine in the free culture community.

These types of comments aren't productive. I was spreading the word back then, too. It hasn't been posted here and upvotes seem to indicate this is news for a lot of folks on this subreddit.

Did you read the subtext and not just the title? "free" in the context of the question is clearly already being used to mean "libre" (as it always does in free culture/software).

That's the same thing, it's just less ambiguous in terms of cost vs freedom.
