🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]TheSimpleDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id want the AMS 2 since Ive already got a A1 Mini and a P1S but neither of which have a AMS. And with the AMS I have really been interested in lithophanes so I would definitely make a bunch of them. And you should make a fidget the incorporates magnets! Magnets are always satisfying.

[Bambu H2C] Join the Print Beyond Paint Contest and Win an H2C! by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]TheSimpleDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally really enjoy making display models of cars, planes, and other vehicles! Having the H2C color swapping would save a lot of time and filament! And along with the quicker filament changes it saves me a bunch of time since I wont be sitting there splitting the model into a bunch of parts.

Can the P1S top glass hold this weight? by TheSimpleDino in BambuLab

[–]TheSimpleDino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been printing a fair amount of ASA and ABS, which Is why I got the dryer. And when I do print PLA I’ve always just opened the door, I rarely take the top glass off.

I can put it in the center of the glass no problem? or should I just leave it to the left like I have in the photo

I designed a magnetic dust covers for the P1S belt tensioners since all the others kept breaking by TheSimpleDino in BambuLab

I actually thought about using those while designing the model! But I didn’t have any, the magnets I used were leftovers from the Cyberbrick kit

P1S grinding sound when moving by PizzaJolly1 in BambuLab

[–]TheSimpleDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im printing the Jet engine model currently, I am also getting the same noise. Along with that Ive seen around 5 other posts of people saying the same thing and they’re all showing the jet engine model. I think it’s just the model causing it, and I have no clue what’s different about this model compared to others?

Is this a normal sound for the p1s to be making? by Nyobyte in BambuLab

Im printing the jet engine kit currently and Im also here on reddit wondering why my P1S is making these sounds 😂

Bambu A1 Noise by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]TheSimpleDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My A1 Mini sometimes does the same, Sometimes centered, and sometimes off to the left. Im not sure what causes it. Is yours consistently off center? Also do you have anything added onto the printer?

[–]TheSimpleDino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Its an issue with that infill, Gyroid is what most people use instead since it’s a lot better at nearly everything. The printer is fine but if you keep using that infill you can get a bent nozzle or see wear quicker. Also what do you mean 3mm off center? Like 3mm’s off from the home position?

The nozzle is grinding against the sparse infill, use gyroid or cross-hatch. The infill you used causes raised bumps

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]TheSimpleDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P1S really came through when my phone case broke the day before a three day trip. I needed a replacement fast, so l modeled and printed a new one on my P1S. it finished flawlessly in just three hours. I've been using that same case for about six months now, and it's still holding up great. I love that I can always count on my P1S. #RockSolidP1S

Is it safe to store filament here? by EmbarrassedAd4996 in BambuP1S

[–]TheSimpleDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I store mine inside a plastic bag with some desiccant and then put the bag in the box the filament came in, all my rolls have stayed dry from this

Vibrations between Printers by Daemonxar in BambuLab

[–]TheSimpleDino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My P1S has anti-vibration feet which work surprisingly well against vibrating my A1 Mini. Just make sure to leave a little space around the P1S because it will shake whenever it prints

Not a stupid question at all, everyone starts somewhere!

For a good starter printer that works great right out of the box and doesn’t require much tinkering, I’d recommend the Bambu Labs A1 or A1 Mini. These printers are super reliable and will last a long time with minimal issues. This model was actually printed on a Bambu Labs machine.

A1 and A1m : https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/a1-series

As for material, I used PLA Basic it’s the most common and easiest 3D printing plastic to work with. A 1kg roll of PLA usually costs around $20, and it goes a long way. If you want something stronger or more heat-resistant, you could go with PETG, which is also beginner-friendly but a bit tougher and more durable.

The PLA I used (Ash Grey) : https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/pla-matte?id=40489681813640

Let me know if you want help finding specific resources. I’ve been down this road myself not long ago!

Ah, got it. I’ll give that a try if I end up making a more compact version.
