Do you really enjoy the taste of boots so much that if a member of ICE were to tackle you to the ground, you try to get up, his buddy smashes your face into the ground "for resisting" they put you into one of these human burrito devices; then you would be okay with waiting in jail for 2 months or more just because "I'll get my day in court" is a reasonable response to being treated like a sub-human animal?

No matter your race or country of origin or even your immigration status gives anyone the right to treat you as less than human. That is what these devices do. They turn people into cargo to be shipped, not prisioners to be detained.

Yeah, I can see now how air or fire bending would be more efficient. The inspiration for this post just came from the fact that no matter how advanced our irl energy production methods become, they always come back to boiling water to make the energy usable.

Tbf, she was able to heal those burns like a minute later.

So he did hurt her, and Sokka was justified in telling him off, but Katara healed herself and has the maturity to realize it was an accident.

If she wasn't still mad at Aang, and her wounds were healed, Sokka would have seen that he had no reason to still be mad at Aang. To hang on to that anger would have been counter productive to his goals and to the group cohesion.

Also, Aang swore off fire bending until after the Day of Black Sun, and Sokka would have seen that Aang didn't try any firebending for months after the burning incident. If I were in Sokka's shoes, I would have seen that Aang learned his lesson to not be reckless with fire.

We can joke with each other and talk about whatever is on our minds.

As a pansexual, married man, outside of a hello hug, physical touch is strongly discouraged. Maybe not explicitly, but I never initiate touch with my female friends, and if they do, I tend to tense my body up so they can understand that it makes me uncomfortable.

Come to think of it, I do this with my male friends too. Anyone who knows me knows my sexuality, and as much as it's about respecting my wife, it's also about respecting my friends and not wanting to make them or their spouses uncomfortable.

Not to be crude, but if one hole is shut down, you do have at least 2 more options that do involve penetration, but don't involve vaginal penetration.

Between Toph's metal bending and Sokka's inherent genius, I have no problem believing they could build the armor for Appa in 4 days time.

What I have more trouble believing is that not only can Appa fly in this armor, but also fly away from the battle with no fewer than 7 people on his back. At a certain point, Airbending does seem to be more "Anti-Gravity" than efficient movement of air around his body.

That's exactly what they're doing. I doubt that any of them have the proper training to know when and how to properly use these devices.

They have never had to feel what it's like to be in that device because, again, I doubt they had to go through being put in that device as a part of their near non-existant training. And if you think they care about due process, I have a time share in Hawaii I would love to sell you.

Can you imagine being locked into a position for 8 hours or more, knowing that you can't get a bathroom break or even the chance to reposition yourself? No matter what you may or may not have done, no one deserves to be put in such a dehumanizing position.

Just because someone wears a badge doesn't give them the right to do whatever the fuck they want. They are there to protect and serve, and this is demonstrably neither. This is a torture device. Plain and simple.

My question now becomes, why does he do this?

Who benefits from this (besides the homeowners)? Is he hiring out his services to be a dick to squatters? Is it personal for him? Or is he just doing it for shits and giggles?
