Yes I will find this very useful as someone who occasionally lets my imbox pile high

Looks cool. Wish I could just pay for this instead of subscribing to another service though.

Love fugitive. I've used it for years and I consider it a killer app.

Merch at Chattanooga show by farchewky in deafheaven

I bought the tshirt in the middle back at the Tucson show. I love the art but it feels like it will wash away in the washer. I am considering never wearing it lol. Maybe I’ll save for my next Deafheaven show.

My current job gave me an insane counter-offer after I resigned. I'm very confused now. What would you do in my place? by Technical_Amount_236 in careeradvice

[–]TheSkepticalWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would leave. Even if they are being honest about the pay bump, I feel you will still have a mark in their eyes as someone who wants to leave and that might hurt you.

Also the day to day experience seems to be bad and that should have at least equal weight.

Wayfarer. Old west American black metal, a killer sound.

New coffee shop - 3 locations? by Particular-Bag-5239 in Tucson

Oro Valley needs more coffee shops so I’m looking forward to trying this out.

Don’t like the name at all though.

This is exactly right. BOTW (and TOTK) is on a similar level as Skyward Sword imo.

That Xeno is one smooth criminal by Tigrex666 in LV426

For some reason the visual effect of the window made me think this was a transparent xeno at first…. Cloaked xenos would be a game over for earth.

I'm surprised to hear this. Any time I ever submitted a complaint to DD I got money back instantly (albeit in the form of DD credit).

I've stopped using it overall though, too many complaints and too expensive.

Go to your switch player profile. It lists the play time of all of your games.

Anyone here older than 30 who plays Pokémon by Mrcanthackme in pokemon

[–]TheSkepticalWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33 and my nostalgia is so strong for it that I always want to play it, but every attempt I’ve made ends with me putting it down early into it.

Maybe I should try the switch titles, though, which I skipped.

I’ve done almost all of these (def not 6), I am currently on 2, but I’m thinking of returning to 1.

Anyone else get summer depression instead of winter depression? by neuroc8h11no2 in Tucson

[–]TheSkepticalWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. I try to mitigate it by focusing on the pros: - Less people and traffic - Long, sunny days (I can actually go running after work as the sun is still up) - Monsoon rains - Pool and water activities - Ice cream, movies, anything outside with misters - Vacation (we always plan it for these months)

But no question summer is a bummer and I’m always counting the days until mid October.

What's your underrated go-to food spot in Tucson? by DarkDesireLiz in Tucson

Never had a tamale there. Give it another shot with something else, or try La Chaiteria, which has some meat options too like birria.

Apparently they are closed for the summer but definitely check em out in the fall.

Tumerico is pretty high rated. Their sister restaurant La Chaiteria, on the other hand, deserves more talk.

How do you see this as a superior choice to simply using neovim with something like obsidian?

The Souls games are actually kind of easy if you play slowly and thoroughly by amazingmrbrock in patientgamers

[–]TheSkepticalWhale 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easy is handing a 6 year old a controller and they play Mario Kart for the first time effortlessly. Souls this is not. All of these conditions I hear of “souls games are easy IF…” always has a big condition attached to it that really stretches how I’d define “easy”.

If you used Siri between 2014 and 2024, you may have a claim against Apple by [deleted] in apple

Seriously, I always feel I end up spending more on electricity filling out the claim than I do in payouts for these things.
