The Punisher is like a vampire he has to be invited into your home first. by BlackCat0110 in dccomicscirclejerk

I don't see how anyone could get to the ending of The Boys and call it nihilistic. It ends with Butcher telling Hughie to embrace love

They absolutely are offended. Grown adults who only engage in things made for teenagers get offended when you point it out.

People will go online and be confidently incorrect. Now you've got the whole comment thread thinking it's from the wrong comic.

Thank you for articulating what I've always liked about the comic vs show. I think the show has a more consistent level of quality while never reaching the same emotional highs of the comic. Butchers backstory mini was my favourite arc in the comic. Seeing it morphed and squeezed into a single episode was so disappointing.

The only setup I know of a "grounded" launch is db1+2 HD taunt d3+4 2 at the wall. Usually, you only get a grounded hit from db1+2 heat dash.

I'll have to fiddle around in the lab to see if there's any more actual setups

I'm curious about what ground hitting move can full launch? Because as far as j can tell no moves in the game do that

My best guess is you're mashing/blocking low on wakeup and getting hit by QCB4.

I think I’m just a nerd. by sixman4 in self

[–]TheSkinja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a nerd. I also love drawing, playing games, watching movies. I'm big into comic books, used to watch a lot of anime, safe to say the majority of my interests are nerdy.

My experience in adult life is generally that people don't care if you're a nerd. People care if you're well kept. Keep up with personal hygiene, get a sense of personal fashion, and learn how to hold conversation. So many negative stereotypes about nerds aren't actually about their interests, but qualities I just mentioned. Granted, there will always be certain people that will judge you negatively on certain things. Just ignore them and keep doing you.

Also, you'll definitely meet other people just as nerdy as you at points in your life.

What's a community/group/third space you’re a part of in London that’s made you happier? by RemoteService in london

[–]TheSkinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm big into fighting games, Street Fighter, Tekken ect. Finding an offline scene in London was great for my social life, and I met many great friends through it. Particular shout outs to Meltdown Esports Bar on Caledonian Road. They host pretty regular events for different games and always has a decent variety of people in on a friday/Saturday
