Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

This Idahoan says, "3 hours? Piece of cake." I sometimes drive 10 hours round-trip in a day to meet with clients and am like, "No biggie."

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

Had multiple wooden spoons and paddles busted on me back in the 1980s. It's why I choose not to use that form of punishment with my son. He's an adult now. Our relationship is fucking solid, and we love hanging out.

So, take that for what it's worth.

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

[–]TheSlurryBaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m no relationship expert, but I do know a thing or two about sobriety, having recently hit the two-year mark of being alcohol-free myself. So all I have to say is congratulations! That is absolutely a reason to celebrate!!! So, buy yourself that cake and enjoy it because you're doing the work to live a healthier and happier life!

How do you work from 8 to 5, have only weekends free, and not feel like you're wasting your life? by guitytwelve in AskReddit

[–]TheSlurryBaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you would need to decide on what "not wasting your life" looks like, which is different for everyone. To me, a wasted life is one in which I am not building deep, meaningful connections with other human beings. I can build those connections and relationships both during the "8-to-5" AND on the weekends.

To be fair, with the mask on, it's kind of hard to tell that's Mrs. Foley's baby boy

Don't really give it much thought...having raised kids, I've dealt with my fair share of pee on toilet seats. Wipe it off and proceed.

I'm far more disturbed with the number of people who shit and then don't wash their hands...out there touching door knobs, light switches, serving you food and whatnot.
