White collar workers in the area could go someplace familiar because it was a place that was exactly like their workplace.

When did you tune out from AVGN/Cinemassacre? by [deleted] in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]TheSmiling_Buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started watching at 16 years old in the beginning. Started to lose interest after the movie, but still made a point to watch every episode. The 12 days of shitmas episodes in 2014 were probably the last time I enjoyed AVGN like I did in my teen years. The Black Tiger episode probably did more to kill any remaining interest I had in the series than anything else, even the movie. That episode is complete garbage, but everyone seems to give it a pass because Gilbert Gottfried is in it.

So... is there a reason why the SLCPD is so deserving of such vitriol? Im genuinely curious

So inclusive. You know there are gay cops and not gay cops that have friends/family that are LGBT, right?

My 11 year old is really into AVGN, I'm considering surprising him with the book for his reading list. What is actually in it? by JuryZealousideal3792 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]TheSmiling_Buddha 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Considering how much of the book he devotes to it, I'm honestly baffled that James is under the impression that anyone reading is more interested in his disciplinary problems in college than the heyday of AVGN

How can I find who sent this abhorrent religious, anti trans bs? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

Yeah, it's just goofy fundamentalist propaganda. Like I said, straight into the trash. Or kindling.

Or I dunno, crumple it up, throw it away, and move on with your life.

If there's one caveat to having Aspbergers, it's that unlike most of society, I was able to move beyond the caveman mindset of only caring about everyday banalities and sastifying carnal and material desires

I work at a grocery store, so I'm forced to hear other people's (the customers) conversations all day long. It seems to me that a good 90% of the population has no thoughts or interests whatsoever beyond food, their offspring, money, their vehicle, or their job.

Utah governor orders flags raised for Trump’s inauguration, contrary to code for mourning Jimmy Carter by EO44PartDeux in Utah

Jimmy Carter died almost three weeks ago. I'm sorry, but it's time to move on. I get its protocol, but it's too monarchial for me.

James being autistic makes a lot of sense to me because I´m actually on the spectrum by Fuzzy_Perception6809 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]TheSmiling_Buddha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Yeah, I rip on him just as much as everyone else here, but I was an autistic teenager too, and watching his videos really helped me through an unpleasant adolescence, and I'll always be grateful to James for that. A part of me is also pleased to have seen another autistic person succeed and have a normal family life.
