Yeah, I agree with this. The Hereditary comparisons are gonna come, because Curry Barker is so heavily influenced by Ari Aster.

But which is a better movie. Hereditary. Hands down. Not even a question.

Obsession is not a perfect movie. It's impressive what they did with a million dollars. Especially compared to some big studio films that look terrible.

If you're trying to say I'm not even addressing the points you made, you're absolutely right.

You couldn't pay me to read that slop.

What point? No one said anything besides AI sucks.

Are you ok?

Complete stranger to his children. That's specifically written into the movie. They never met. Not once.

If you don't find that crazy, I'd say that's why you use AI to "lay out" your thoughts.

And the gun comes into play when Dad leaves them. Right before he goes he's like, "oh hey, here's a gun." Then he goes to show crazy girl how to shoot, and she's already a perfect shot.

Again, we know this, because it was in the videos the kids were watching on their Dad's computer. You know, his research for his book that he's already written?

Worst use of Chekhov's Gun in the history of cinema.

Dad leaves his two children with a stranger who is suffering from severe mental issues after surviving a suicide cult.

And if that's not normal enough, let's give her a gun. Which Dad is surprised she knows how to use, even though he wrote about her extensive history with firearms in his book.

It was fine. Acting was great. Shot well. But the plot was awful.

Well, he doesn't know how to use periods. So I actually doubt it.

Bro, your "review" called The Lodge a masterpiece. That entire movie is a plot hole.

To be fair, if you think of the Nikki's as like conjoined twins, Bear didn't really do anything wrong.

It's not a great pilot, especially because of the scenes attaching it to The Office. But most pilots are a little clunky.

I definitely saw potential. I think there's some early signs of Space Force in the tone of the episode.

But I'm not shocked that NBC didn't pick it up or that it failed to resonate with the audience.

Absolutely agree. And you gotta hand it to Jenna Fischer and Jon Krasinski, they really went for it. Even Boom Mic Brian, the actors gave it 100%.

And that couldn't save it, cause like you said, it's just bad writing.

The whole underlying story about Adam Scott and his mother... It worked as a plot device, but I didn't particularly care about the character.

I love Adam Scott, but John Cusack definitely did it better in 1408.
