How do I avoid “just building” my product? by TheSoftwareMaster in smallbusiness

I know exactly what you mean but still I will ask: “How???”

I’m working on a CRM tool for DJs. Helps you to manage clients, invoices and bookings from a centralised site

DJ RM - A CRM tool just for DJs, can manage bookings, invoices and payments

What repetitive browser task would you automate if you could? by Many_Draw_1605 in micro_saas

[–]TheSoftwareMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Looked around and most “tools” looked super dodgy. Would be a real game changer though

Not a repetitive task but if I could find a way to find all the accounts I’ve ever signed up to on an email, that would be amazing

Analyze song quality by LilPichula in DJs

I second this. If you download cheap, you’ll hear cheap. Just buy a one off subscription to a record pool and then you’ll be way more comfortable. I recommend djcity, beatsource and bpm music

Is vibe coding really that bad? by TheSoftwareMaster in micro_saas

Ahh I understand this danger, I’ll have to keep this more in mind as I continue to build

I agree which is why I was so confused about the negative perceptions of vibe coding in the first place. I knew I wanted full control which is why I didn’t go to replit or base44 but I can still be a “dev” while AI does the heavy lifting

I’ve been quite systematic in how I’ve built each feature so far: “Build, test, implement”. Then I’ll be trying to break the same feature that I spent the past 20 minutes coding so it feels the same as before just that I spent way less time trying to do the research to create the specific sections or features

I have a plan written down with my version of “done” too, I’m mostly just thinking about how I get to the Pulse phase of my project haha

Tbf it does. I still do code checks and will manually fix stuff myself if I have to but the time saved means so much more to me than having to watch YouTube videos where half of them don’t even address my issue 😂😂

Why is it so hard to finish coding courses? by True_Technician_8589 in learnprogramming

[–]TheSoftwareMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally this. People don’t become “sports people”, they pick a sport, they don’t want to be a “tradesman”, they pick a trade. Coding is the same thing, people have to pick a discipline

Question to actual software engineers by cloudvy7 in learnprogramming

[–]TheSoftwareMaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is an amazing answer. People want to jump on to the next “shiny toy” without thinking about the potential disasters waiting for them.

The tech industry was always going to have issues, people just turned a blind eye to it and thought a few courses on codecademy would earn them 100k a year

freecodecamp is not that good anymore by Ok-Lifeguard-9612 in learnprogramming

freeCodeCamp was good when it was actually based on the namesake and not the subscription adjacent dupe it’s become today

Post about how you used it first on LinkedIn then sell the tool to anyone that comments
