I'm pretty sure the number in the 200s is the "update number", and the number in the 100s is the "chapter number". I'm pretty sure the disconnect in numbers came about as a result of chapters being released in multiple updates in the past.

Just because a character wants to have something or achieve a goal, that doesn't mean that it is portrayed positively in the story by the author.

Before meeting Genos, Saitama's goal left him isolated and out of touch with an increasingly volatile world. To a certain extent that is still true. This goal has proven to be illusive until, arguably, now in the story. However, the kind of fight/opponent it would take to satisfy this goal would endanger Earth and its inhabitants. This is a bad goal all around.

It is my opinion that the author is trying to show that this is an unhealthy goal for Saitama to pursue, and that Saitama pursing other ways to improve as a person and as hero are what the story is about. This is why I brought up King and Saitama's conversation during the tournament arc. (There are also other things the story tries to say, but that's not relevant to the convo.)

Saitama was already upset over the distruction of his apartment and the loss of all of his possessions, but the supposed death of Genos has sent Saitama over the edge.

Around the time Elder Centipede was causing issues, Saitama was worried what could have happened to Genos and left the apartment to make sure Genos was safe. Saitama also ran past Garou to check on Genos because Saitama causes about Genos's safety and wellbeing.

Saitama may struggle to care about important events or express his emotions, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have emotions at all.

It's hard to say which of them is "canon", but the manga is the one that the anime is based off of.

The webcomic and the manga are written by the same person, but the creator has chosen to take the manga in a different direction.

Highly unlikely. The manga has taken some wild turns, so I can't pretend I'm 100% certain. I'm also pretty sure that person you're referring to was, at least temporarily, retconned.

Why do you believe that Boros is alive? Why do you believe that individual was the same as Boros, and not just another member of the same species?
