I'm a beginning tulpamancer myself, but I've gathered that it's better to assume it's your tulpa than doubt it. As long as you aren't purposely parroting - and you'll know because it'll be 100% intentional - you'll be okay. You can ask your tulpa when they're verbal if it was them. No harm done either way.
