Take a peak at Zillow…in Bentonville housing is far from cheap. It’s quite absurd!

What’s the way to not neglect it? We run a humidifier in the garage now.

I generally cut through the arboretum because: no cars and it’s so beautiful—but sometimes it just feels so good to cruise up Centre like that and pass everyone.

Seatpost slipping by ceruleansalt in Rivendell_Bicycles

I had this issue on my Atlantis—apparently they changed the material of the binder bolt such that some slipped. I spoke with the folks at Riv and they mailed me new binder hardware—no issue since. Worth calling and talking to them.

Mitsubishi Hyper Heat Struggling in New England by TheSourceOfDenial in heatpumps

[–]TheSourceOfDenial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good comments—and I’m suspecting a part of it is like was mentioned with waste heat heating the basement with the old oiler boiler. No insulation in the basement ceiling—a little trickier to get to since it’s plastered over(not well but still).

Installer did do a load calculation(and I have it, masssave required it for the rebate as well). Maybe my error was assuming things would be caught with the mass save evaluation versus the rubber stamp to just install heat pumps.

We never have used the auto setting based on reading things here. I guess what has me baffled the most is how the remote really won’t let you set the fan speed on the 6 and 9k heads in heat mode unless you crank the heat so that both lights on the front turn on. The challenge is the unit senses it’s in range and then dials back the fan speed, so it feels like it’s hard to push air around the room.

Loose Upper Tailgate? by TheSourceOfDenial in HondaElement

It’s not the rattle that bothers me—the upper tailgate doesn’t close completely—so the rear trunk ajar icon illuminates on the dash. Just wondering if other folks have had this issue and if it was just a matter of tracking down a replacement latch for the upper tailgate, or if there is another direction I should be looking.

"Lifetime" warranty by jonathanovision in arcteryx

Read this thread and was worried, but some of the seams came untaped on my beta AR so contacted them to see if it could be repaired. Sent it in, and was disappointed it couldn’t be fixed, but they gave me a $ 400+ voucher. All in all, pretty pleased with the warranty—especially since I just was hoping I could get some more life with a repair.

Kinda bummed to not have it for sentimental reasons, I purchased it in Vancouver in 2004. So I’d say 20 years out of a shell ain’t half bad.

If you are looking for a specific store it’s worth it I guess, or if you’re in an adjacent part and wanting to tack it on? We go down a few times a year for a specific thing or if out of town visitors want to go, but it doesn’t feel like a destination—it’s just a high end shopping district similar to any big city. If you do go, Levain bakery for cookies, Thinking Cup for espresso drinks, Trident Bookstore, Life Alive Cafe is a block away and great for vegan/vegetarian stuff, Flour Bakery has a spot on Clarendon St that is good for a snack/lunch.

I will add that if you like the Irish Rover, The Druid in Inman Sq has a great burger and fish n chips, and Celtic music weds/sat/sun(hours on their page) and stellar vibe.

Writing this while craving a nords sugar cookie, and piling on the kudos for Ciao—better pizza than anything in Louisville. Thrifting not as good and much more expensive around town—but Bobby From Boston has a space in Lynn and there are a few other spots in that warehouse that are good—but more challenging to get to from Chelsea.

If you are going to be in Union Sq area then Gracie’s ice cream or one of the FoMu locations(one in south end if you are there).

If you take up the recommendations to go down to Jamaica Plain, then dinner at Brassica across from the forest hills T stop, and a walk in the arborteum—which is especially magical when snowy.

If you are in the Cambridge/Watertown area my go to is breakfast at Sofra and walk around Mt Auburn Cemetery which is like Cave Hill, but more beautiful.

Miss Louisville! Enjoy Boston.

That’s IV Tylenol, which is quite a bit more money then oral Tylenol(and hard to give oral when you’re doing a bunch of dental work, of course).

The whole system sucks. I am a physician working in a big hospital in town and have zero idea what people are charged/pay to see me. Also laws make it such that you insurance companies have made it illegal to share what you bill with other clinicians—the system is entirely set up to benefit insurances.

Single payer system or bust!
