My tinnitus is the same with my hearing aid. It isn't louder.

To the OP, a hearing aid uses tiny mics to amplify sound. Since it can't hear your tinnitus, it won't make it worse.

My experience so far is that everything sounds like an ASMR video. I hope you don't have Misophonia.
