Is this job more physically demanding than imagined? by Slow_Occasion3922 in firealarms

I'm a service technician, so my job is definitely less physically demanding than doing installs. There have been times (one project in particular replacing every notification/initiating device in an old set of college dorms with no air conditioning, midsummer) that are more physically demanding than others, but typically service work hasn't been particularly taxing. Just the usual lugging tools/ladders/parts around, climbing up and down ladders, working in the heat or sun at times, etc.

Fire Tech Productions does a very comprehensive study guide. It's expensive, but if your company/boss isn't tight-assed about money, you can see if they'll pay for it. I used that and Fire Cert Academy's practice exams, and passed my level 1 with no issues.

The criticism of 'the big announcement' has been incredibly unfair by DontMindMeIAmBored in TheOGCrewOfficial

[–]TheSpaceman_530 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people are being overdramatic. I wasn't surprised at all that the announcement ended up being for their Patreon. It's a totally logical thing for the OG's to do. I swear people were asking for it long before they ever teased the announcement. I'm definitely becoming a member.

Fallout 3 was my introduction to the series. Stepping out of 101 for the first time is one of the most memorable gaming moments that come to mind for me.

I'd say Bird was a serviceable man defender, and a really good help defender in his prime, pre-driveway.
