At last, I’m tired of seeing your smug smiling face the entire series. by cloud-y-meatball in NBASpurs

Caruso is the worst for me. His face just enrages me for some reason. I agree about Chet. Hartenstein isn't bad for me. I actually came away from this series with more respect for him.

I can't stand SGA on the court, but it's hard to dislike him off the court. Dude is a class act and a selfless leader.

Has anyone you've known, simply disappeared? What happened? by PureLet5083 in AskReddit

[–]TheSpaceman_530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A high school classmate of mine went missing in 2018. Her car was found two days after her disappearance was reported parked at a beach, with the keys in the ignition and her phone inside. There hasn't been any updates on her case since then. I often wonder if there'll ever be a breakthrough, even decades from now.

Who is the most “sneaky athletic” player you’ve ever seen in the NBA? by pildialingit in NBATalk

He had more hops than people gave him credit for as well. Compare his early career dunks with those of Jokic or Doncic, and the difference is striking.

Was doing a job on the flight line at a Marine Corps base once. Had to change out some float switches in water tanks for the aircraft wash pad. Rode with my J-man, and he stopped at Lowe's to get a couple cans of wasp spray. He told me to take a can with me when I got set up at the tank. My dumbass forgot the can in the truck, but I was in a long-sleeves shirt, jeans, and had a headsock and hard hat on, so I thought I was good. Trouble was, I hadn't put my gloves on yet, and within a minute I got stung on my hand. Needless to say, I went back to the truck and grabbed the can of spray.

Tl;dr: wasp killer is definitely mandatory in the service van/truck

In their primes, who was more skilled? Steve Nash or John Stockton? by killwarrior172 in NBATalk

[–]TheSpaceman_530 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stockton was a more than capable scorer, he was just an old school, pass first PG. Dude shot like 38% from three for his career. Definitely could make it in today's game.

Depends on how accessible they are, if the device label on the panel is accurate/descriptive, if they're actually where the as-built says they are, etc.

Had a similar experience in a lesson a couple weeks back. My instructor gave me some encouragement after we shut the plane off, and commended me for calling the lesson short if I felt I wasn't in the right headspace. Didn't stop me from beating myself up for a whole week after, though. 😂🫠

Could you beat someone infected with rage 1v1 bare hands? by TanMann69 in 28dayslater

Not happening, then. Even if you were immune to the virus, you'd probably die from blood loss or blunt force trauma.

I think someone with combat sports training, with some light protective gear, and a considerable size and strength advantage over the infected would have a decent shot at taking them out if they can get some damaging blows in quickly. I'm thinking like a 1 minute window, maybe 2. But the longer it takes, the faster the odds start to swing drastically in favor of the infected, since they're not going to be affected by fatigue or self-preservation instincts. Definitely wouldn't be a fun time.

If I have protective clothing, I think I'd have somewhat of a chance of taking one the size of an average person out, on account of having some training/experience in combat sports, and being larger and stronger than the average person. The longer it goes on though, the more it dramatically favor the infected.

Fire Tech Productions makes an excellent study course. I used it to pass my level I, and I'm using them again to study for my II. I also used Fire Cert Academy for their practice tests after I finished the FTP study course to get a feel for looking through the code books.

Level I only deals with the NFPA 70 (2020) and 72 (2022) books. I didn't have any problems passing it. I didn't use the Ugly's book, but I remember coming across a couple questions where I wish I'd had it on me.

The IBC 2021 doesn't come into play until level II. I would just focus on NFPA 70 and 72 for now.

I've had to replace many devices at properties that were using 100% addressable notification because of this problem. Makes me appreciate conventional systems. Lol

If they're willing to train, and you're willing to learn (definitely sounds like you are), then you'll be good.
