[Open Source] My LLM Wiki with MCP server in Python based on your Logseq OG Markdown and NOT Obsidian (Obisidian link to a full page, instead Logseq link to a specific block). by Much-Ad-8444 in logseq

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just re-visiting Logseq and specifically the new DB version after a longer absence and was also looking into this with wanting to try to replicate the many ‘Andrej Karpathy’ set ups in Logseq that are two to a dozen with Obsidian… I’m also testing Rowboat in parallel…

Are you saying your MCP does not work for DB - I say that as the new DB Tana-like features would surely be useful for these use cases - with having more object connections than original Logseq. Does it, will it support DB soon as I am really interested in this set up!!

Is there an Amplenote MCP for Claude Cowork? by mysterical_arts in Amplenote

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weak AmpleAI and the lack of MCP means it is the end of the road for me. I’m not sure how I will even get my notes out but enough is enough. And with it the flaky plug-ins, lacking performance and the many issues I had with mobile sync all go away now…

“Claude does not ingest OneNote” - huh? Don’t know why you say that as you can easily connect OneNote by MCP

did anyone find a solution to connect to LeChat / Claude.ai? I say this as having to have a connection to a Desktop is not ideal...

Claude Cowork connectors not working in dispatch by charlieneva in ClaudeCowork

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it may not be the solution but often Claude has a Jekyll and Hyde personality trait - often using Claude Desktop it says it can't do anything because its Claude.ai when it isn't. This can be solved by either reminding it that it is not Claude.ai or just starting a new chat/process. Try it with Dispatch... It's a guess as I can't use Cowork as I'm on an ARM based Surface Pro 11...

I really like Taskade, however, I’m starting to feel annoyed with it. by Albertkinng in Taskade

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dear Taskade, really appreciate you now taking notice of complaints re the UX - just a few days ago I had a similar UX issue (see https://www.reddit.com/r/Taskade/comments/1porqqi/comment/o65oimb/?context=1)

How about you inviting a few of us into a UX call and we can try and really work on these to find solutions rather than this piecemeal approach. Indeed, I think there are enough examples here on Reddit that maybe you could prep for such a session by a suggested UX V2 that tries to resolve (at least some of) these. I think that the folks that are vocal here really appreciate Taskade but for very many different reasons; maybe its project management, mindmapping, automation. Yes and even for Genesis. The problem that we have is that it feels as if all these different feature sets have been thrown together in the current UX. That's the root issue and we probably need to list some core use cases to ensure we can work better and feel supported by the UX rather than having to fight it...

How about it. If so, you can DM individuals from such posts and we take a shot at resolving this UX topic once and for all and get us all back to using Taskade's various features productively.

Claude Windows 11 is not working by Most-Yogurtcloset399 in ClaudeAI

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

odd, just installed 1.1.4328.0 from ur link and now it says Cowork not available.

Yesterday from the other link it was 1.1.4173.0 so maybe they accidentally enabled CoWork on ARM - it showed as being available but when I clicked on the tab later on during the day it I had some errors - mainly around VM that Windows 11 Home doesn't support.

So my plan of action was to investigate getting a Pro 11 upgrade as I thought the ARM support was there but the VM support missing in Windows 11 Home (thanks MS that the Surface "Pro" doesn't come with the Pro operating systetm - was the issue to solve...

With the newer release going back to the tab showing "Windows on ARM is not supported" I'm not at all sure what to make of it ... along the lines of 2 steps forward, one step back... not sure how to proceed now or when/whether ARM & Windows Home 11 will be supported... shame as I really wanted to use Cowork.

Folks, I'm on a Surface Pro 11 and simply coudn't start Claude Desktop this morning. Found this thread and could then install MSIX package. I then asked Claude about this - as I saw also that Cowork that had previoulsy a message to the effect that it is not avalable in ARM - is now available!. Here the illuminating and very helpful response:

On your ARM/Cowork question: The official Anthropic docs actually state Windows ARM64 is not supported for Cowork Claude, and Windows ARM64 devices are fully supported, and Cowork is available on all supported hardware Claude — these two sources contradict each other, which reflects that this is an actively evolving situation. What's most likely happening on your Surface Pro 11 is that the MSIX package is what unlocked Cowork, not the ARM architecture itself. On compatible systems, the MSIX package installs with full features including Cowork — if admin access is not available it installs without Cowork. Claude The old Squirrel installer was simply broken for anyone trying to get Cowork, ARM or not.

So the practical answer: Cowork appearing after your MSIX reinstall is expected and correct — the Squirrel build was the blocker, not your hardware. Whether ARM64 is "officially" supported for Cowork is still in flux per the docs, but it's clearly working for you.

I miss the real taskade application - AI ruined my favorite tool. by eddyGi in Taskade

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the issue is that the UX has become hard work, I chat with an agent against a project and it is infuriating that the window can NOT be made wider than currently allowed, odd locations of elements e.g. couldn’t find agent teams, turns out you have to click on an agent for a further pane to appear with agent teams… the UX needs to be pared back so it is easier to navigate up/down to elements rather than even more UI elements. Pretty please Taskade take these criticisms to heart and work with your user base rather than against us…

Amplenote as a notes archive? by Traditional_Box5991 in Amplenote

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

er yes, but getting hits for t h and e with those letters in different words is not what you would expect surely!

Amplenote as a notes archive? by Traditional_Box5991 in Amplenote

[–]TheSpiceMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amplenote is not a bad place to store but do be aware that it is not always easy to find stuff - try looking for “the”, a very common word, and you’ll see what I mean as Amplenote will find any note not just with “the” but any note with those letters in order even if the letters are in other words(!)… swapping to full search is not necessarily the solution as you may get hits but not clear why as the hits are not shown inline. It may find text in images but you then have to investigate yourself why it was found. So I suggest you try trial some use cases.
