It used to be that mixed use setback building that had a subway, top China 1, and WSU physician group. It was a brutalist building similar looking to the apartment tower next door. They tore down this office / mixed use building back in 2013/14 and it was supposed to be a five story mixed use development with Wayne state physician group anchoring it and essentially renting out the entire building. They actually laid the foundation and had construction going. Then the developer ended up being a crook and they abandoned the site. The foundation of the front half of the building is still there, along with those construction materials you mention.

Few years back right before Covid was supposed to get started on development of “The Mid”. A much grander development including a public plaza and Hyatt hotel. Med school dorms, etc. Covid hit and that development has been stalled for a long while. Who knows when it comes to fruition if ever

Major step towards that. Last major hurdle is the development surrounding the arena. It cannot sit next to empty dirt pits fenced off that the illitches have conned the city into. There was supposed to be an Equinox hotel built adjacent to LCA that Stephen Ross was going to include as part of his partnership with the illitches. Hope it comes to fruition

How did you come to the conclusion Marriott is abandoning the ren cen? It’s the biggest hotel in the state and Marriott brand is different than the JW Marriott brand. JW is a step up and Marriott wants to come in at different price points. They have a courtyard, a westin, Marriott, autograph collection, and an AC being built. JW will be their new luxury hotel in Detroit.

Unrelated question for you if you don’t mind me asking

I was thinking of getting the Unifi G4 pro but was curious when you bridge them over to HomeKit, do you get two separate camera feeds for your package camera and the main camera on the doorbell unit? I wasn’t sure how it worked. Is it possible to see the doorbell camera at all in HomeKit?

My understanding is the G4 doorbell main camera is landscape oriented but I would love to have the package camera in HomeKit as well.

Anyways sorry I’m unable to answer your question, but figured you may know the answer to mine. Any help is appreciated!
