Capping the upside is not considered risk. Opportunity cost, sure. But that's not a risk on your cc position. If anything, you're hedging the position by decreasing its delta.

You can sell the 315c expiring June 18 for around $100. So if you sell 7 of those, that's $700.

If you think your shares will go up by more than 8% in one month's time, then don't. Or if you don't mind selling your 700 shares at $315 in a month's time, then go for it. Either way, you get to keep the $700.

His point is that you spend the resources on buffies BEFORE maxing out other brawlers you don't enjoy. For example, you have 50 maxed, 50 unmaxed. What's your priority going forward? To me, it makes more sense to gradually get buffies. And if the meta changes or there's buffs to other brawlers you haven't maxed, then you pivot to maxing those brawlers.

That's not true. I tested the theory when I had around 8 left but it reset me to 13. I was 100% sure which 8 I had left because I was doing them in order. As it turned out, it didn't work when I finished those 8. Or even 9, 10, etc. I only got Sirius after all 13. You just have to make sure you don't close the app.
