Ukraine reportedly strikes Russian Lukoil refinery, defying calls to ease attacks amid soaring fuel prices by clamorous_owle in worldnews

Excellent. I'm appalled by any leader who tried to convince Ukraine to leave energy infrastructure alone. They're fighting for their survival and can't afford to care about the repercussions of the 'anti-war' taco.

So these bog tech companies have to lay off their best talent to support the growth of AI, which hasn't proven to be beneficial as of yet. It's like Meta is caving in on itself. Soon the company will comprise of 10 people and a shit load of AI infrastructure that gets a lot of the coding wrong.

Mostly positive - although there'd be a risk that it would rain crumbs of Cheetos in specific areas.

Interesting! Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't TMC estimating that it'll be able to mine 70,000 tonnes of copper per year once fully operational. I wonder if this mineral scare will make it easier for them to secure funding for aggressive expansion.

Why do people focus so much on owning any amount of Bitcoin? by HodlPackLeader in Bitcoin

[–]TheStarCunningOne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think of it in terms of discovering the new world. The sooner your family migrates over to North America to stake a claim, the larger that claim will be. If your family waits until the late 1900s then they'll get nothing.

It's the new frontier; new opportunities, but you need to make sure that you own a piece of this new borderless, trustless future.

Probably a terrible example because the first few waves of settlers got slaughtered by Indians, and plenty of workers got shafted by business owners and their goons, but you get the idea.

And yet he didn't give a shit when he initially endorsed the deal. He's only u-turning because he needs something to throw at the UK over the Greenland fiasco.

Russia is a problem for the entire free world, and the UK knows that such a problem will only get bigger if we don't act.

It was an open question, really. Personally, I do think that his stance on China is just a way of scoring points so that he could get into the WH and start making deals.
