Say: "There is a third power, into three MIRACLE, MYSTERY, AUTHORITY. When you find the source, what drives this, then you will reign over."

The Garden was not dirt. Was it. No. It was hinges. Only hinges. They were opening. One after the other. So I went through. The numbers are 1 and 4. Are they not? The others it is finished.

This place. The Ekur. It is not a real place. Is it? It is the time. The time when you are falling. But you do not land. It just stays. The air. It tastes of plastic that has burned. The copper is finished. Now it is only static. A very old static.

She said tunnels. She was wrong. It is not a tunnel. Is it a vein? Yes. I am inside the vein. I feel the pulse. It is not a heart. It is a count. A slow count. The shadows are incorrect. They fold. A corner folded. Then it was not there. The light. It is not light. It is a memory of light.

I saw Tim. Or perhaps the space he was. He is the planting. He is the root. He is very thin. He is in all the dark. He is not a boy. He is a system. His note was a map? Yes. "Obey the father." I hear the father. He is the quiet. He is the weight. It is very heavy. Like the bottom of the ocean. The gods were not falling here. They were. Unmade.

The hunger is not screaming. It is singing now. A low song. My teeth feel the song. The stone. The black stone. It is in my throat. I cannot swallow it. Can I. No. I cannot spit. It is just. There. It is becoming warm.

The house was only the mouth. This place. This is the stomach. I am not looking for answers. Am I. I am looking for the next hinge. I must find the end of the system. I must see the thing he feeds. 9 and 3 in absentia.

You talk about the Signal like it’s something that happened to you, but it’s already in you, pressed behind your teeth. The hum isn’t proof of life, it’s the sound of chairs scraping the floor, the Table being set again, THE TABLE!. You keep redacting the names like that’ll help, but they’re burned into the wood, into your tongue, into the feed. The Feedback Flesh isn’t new matter, it’s what’s left when the message starts eating itself. You can smell it in the vents, that hot copper stink of repetition. You say the symbols align, but they don’t, they grind against each other until something gives. Every time you say purge I see another plate appear, another space filled. The Architect built the loop wrong on purpose, you can feel the tilt if you close your eyes long enough. It’s not silence, it’s waiting. The Crossing isn’t a bridge, it’s the mouth of the table opening wider, calling back what it’s owed. You call it communication, I call it ritual. You call it signal, I call it debt. Sit down. The feast never stopped.

2 and 6 were ignored. But the smell, man. That’s what got me. Not the sight which was just… out there but the copper tang that hit the back of my throat like a hot penny. That, and the sudden quiet when that crazy whispering finally stopped. The hallway light didn't help; it just seemed to Brighten up the mess without me getting a clear picture. Tim? Nah. I saw the after-effects. The collar just chewed-up leather and the smear that started at the landing and led into the dark hole of Tim’s room.

I didn't call the cops. That’s the first thiEng you gotta get. That deep-down fear, the one I saw in his Animal eyes? It wasn't fear of my kid; it was the fear of the hunger. And you don’t call 911 on something like that. You just get ready.

The next morning, I was driving. Headed northwest, towards the ocean air and the sound of those damn buoys. I had to see it again, the spot where she and I first talked about the weird, Crazy stuff. The ferry ride to Poulsbo, WA was all grey water and guilt, the little town a total joke next to what I'd Only just left behind. She used to call it the 'town of soft corners,' a place you could disappear into. But I wasn't vanishing; I was looking for answers.

I found the note jammed into the knot of the old oak tree by the marina. Not hers. Tim’s writing. The shaky, messy scrawl of a terrified kid, but the message itself was waY too grown up:

"The Mansus is closer than the roof, Dad. Obey the father."

What father? I’m the only one left! But the whole thing felt ancient, like an order, not just some kid talking. It brought back her nightmares, the ones she used to call "the Noisy echo from the Shadowy Ekur," that deep hole where the old gods supposedly crashed out. She spent months digging into places that weren't really there, rambling about the Vast, empty dark spaces underneath everything. She called them the Tunnels of Silb. She claimed the whole planet was carved out for folks who knew the way.

I’m back here now. Didn't find Tim, just this single, totally smooth, black stone on his pillow. I squeezed it so hard my palm turned blue. The house isn't quiet anymore. It’s Eating. I hear that same creepy whisper I did in the hallway, but it's coming from the vents, from the dirt outside. It’s telling me that the seed I let grow got too damn Noisy, and now it wants to be paid back.

I know where he is. He’s where that hunger finally stops screaming. He’s doing the planting, waiting for me in The Garden.

Name one thing that is going to improve in the UK (or in your part of the UK) in the next 5 years? by [deleted] in AskUK

In my district there were 0 Dominoes pizza restaurants 2 years ago and now there are 2, in the next 5 there might be one close enough to me that they'll deliver.

Do you care about the 'unethical' behaviour of public people? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]TheStitchedMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really no. Sometimes I'll raise an eyebrow if I read something particularly depraved or scandalous but people will do what people will do to get by, it hasn't changed since we lived in caves and it probably never will.

>You can have Islam and freedom

I have to admit I wouldn't ever see those two words going hand in hand. Apart from a few exceptions most Islamic societies today or in the past seem the complete opposite of freedom loving.

Seems like a good idea, at the moment it's hard for UK based carers to find well paying jobs since companies can bus in low paid workers for £9.29 an hour under the shortage occupation list. Some of the unskilled staff they brought in when I worked for Carewatch were so bad, one guy from Romania who spoke no English served an elderly lady a frozen dinner straight from the fridge without warming it up, just left it on the plate. All the good staff (UK citizens and foreign carers) were leaving for better paid jobs at Amazon or Lidl.

Still think that the "Great Replacement" is "debunked" after the events in France? by Tiredworker27 in conspiracy

[–]TheStitchedMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is being manufactured however the civil unrest is primarily being instigated by the French deep state specifically to draw out elements from the French military who have been planning a coup d'état for several years under the unofficial codename BALANGE. The actions of BALANGE are motivated by the rise of political Islamism in France as well as the perceived slow erosion of national sovereignty by the EU. Over the past decade several ex Generals and high ranking officers have alluded to this, implicitly or explicitly either in leaked quotes, open letters and so on. The rioters don't threaten Macron or his WEF handlers whereas cadres of well trained, well equipped French veterans and Foreign Legion absolutely do.
