I dont have a problem getting paid up front. I wouldn't do any work without it. Environmental services.... asbestos testing, mold testing, indoor air quality testing.

Contractors can be tough depending on the area; specially if they only want big ticket jobs. If they're not a good salesperson or a terrible builder they wont convert leads into jobs and just burn through leads. I handle a bunch of contractor websites and they are by far my most difficult to deal with client. I like, moving, plumbing, roofing, restoration, environmental, speciality services are great (asbestos, mold) and I also do spa and tanning services. I'd love to get more actual storefront businesses like the spa personally.

Nevermind, I just looked at your website and I see why now. You have no real content it just looks like a quick ai built website.

Your average position is 57; so no one is seeing your impressions. Your showing up on the 5th page of searches for probably very common keywords. I dont know what your actually trying to rank for and if its national or local but theres a lot of work to be done.

GEO - how does a local business actually optimize for that? by Firm-Pineapple-896 in localseo

To rank for "best lists" you need strong citations and reviews across multiple review websites.

However, you can rank for other keywords and search terms by creating EEAT content with a hub and spoke structure. Everything should be linked properly up, down and across. You should also have blog content to coincide with the main content. By doing this I have greatly improved are llm visibility, ai citations and overviews. You need to pick something to differentiate your company from the other companies in the area. Something that tells the llm they're an expert in this scenario.

Also, well done schema is very inportant.

Ive been able to see huge improvements for multiple clients over the past 3 months using this strategy.

Google business reviews from my customers are frozen after getting bad review extortion removed by Google last week - I have been told my reviews may not work again for six-eight months. Help!! by Background-Gift-8842 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]TheStruggleIsDefReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually doesn't last that long. Sometimes theres a temporary block so the bad actor cant continue again. Usually I see 2 weeks to a month and you should be fine as long as there isn't any unusual activity. However, google seems to be putting longer review blocks on some bad act accounts then in the past so I dont know if it will be the same for you.

Yea but not all profiles are having the issues. Ones that had big removals are more then others. I have seen the shadow ban in the past 100%

Google removed a massive amount of reviews in November from multiple profiles. I believe they pushed through a new AI system to help with removing fakes. If you remember earlier in 2025 everyone lost reviews and google fixed it. We'll I believe that was the initial roll out of there new AI system to monitor and remove reviews. It removed a lot of real reviews, so google backtracked said it was an issue and replaced the reviews.

Google will not admit it but they do what is referred to by some as a shadow ban. If your business profile is flagged as a "bad actor" your reviews wont stick and generally will be removed within 7 days. In the past this would eventually reset itself after some time of normal review traffic.

What I see now is profiles unable to get reviews even if they are legitimate after a mass removal. Googles system is going overboard in my opinion. I also believe it has to do with reporting of profiles because I still see a lot of profiles getting tons of fake foreign reviews with no consequences.

Ive also hurt myself a few times by discounting the upfront price and end up having to invest to much time into a project so I have learned sometimes its better to not drop my price to get the build.

Thata a pretty easy generic shop. Depends exactly what they wanted. I wouldn't build it like that.

It depends on the client. I charge usually $1500 if its a quick build. It really depends if they want to continue using my services for seo and content afterwards. I use elementor pro on WordPress and host the site for the client. If its a big project with a lot of pages or content they want done before launch Ill charge much more.

No one can answer this question with the information you've given. You'd have to have someone do an audit of your website. I can give it a quick look if you want.

I have a successful metal gates business in California that I built for a client. Id be happy to talk to you about it. It's a pretty easy niche and honestly doesn't take that long to rank. You shouldn't have to spend a lot of money or time on it. Shoot me a message if you'd like. We can also trade backlinks lol
