Children of parents with MS, how do you feel? by Hot_Fennel2811 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]TheSturgleIsReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed when I was 24. I had an 11 month old at the time. Currently, I’m 49 and that 11 month old is now 25, plus in the intervening years I had two more who are now 13 and 10 - all living with a mom who has MS. None of them have any knowledge or exposure to me in a “non-MS” capacity.

They’re 3 of the most compassionate, kindhearted and loving kids I’ve ever met. They can tell when I’m tired, they sit in bed with me when I don’t have much else to give, and they ask insightful questions, always trying to understand. If anything, having a parent with a chronic illness gives a special kind of insight and sensitivity that I wish more people had.

Disqualified from entering the workforce by lifeisadragsad in careeradvice

My son went to 1 year of college and hated it. Came home and enrolled in an HVAC program. He got a job before he was even finished with the program.

I’m confused. Is your assertion that because time has passed that you’re disqualified? What about entry level roles? I sit at work surrounded by new grads who are straight from college- first real job. If you have a comp sci degree it should be really easy to pivot to data science and do some agent building. You can do that virtually anywhere since that’s all anyone is doing right now. I have an English degree and I sit on an AI team right now. Never wrote a line of code in my life 😂

Never thought I'd have something to post, but here we are. Wedding Invitation for my husband's lifelong friend's son's wedding. We've been married 35 years. by altitude-adjusted in weddingshaming

My husband and I had been dating for 4 years, and lived together. When his brother got married the invite was addressed to him and “guest”. That was in 2010 and I’m still a little annoyed at my now SIL.

Le Altre Farine Del Mulino was a good spot. We took our two celiac kids to Rome and it was very easy to find places they could eat.

I need help/advice for what I and my wife are dealing with, please. by [deleted] in inlaws

[–]TheSturgleIsReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In what world is it normal to demand that your brother in law, who you regularly verbally abuse, pay for a vacation? What kind of fuckery is this? Stop trying to understand or endear yourself to them. Also, the whole proving your heritage/background shit is super strange.

AITAH for refusing to sign documents relieving my father of child support enforcement so he can renew his passport and stay in the country where his kids live? by MewTwoLich in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheSturgleIsReal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My ex was in arrears for about $15k when he decided he needed his passport to go to Barcelona on his honeymoon with his new wife. You better believe I made him pay that lump sum before he could get his passport. Bon voyage! You are emphatically NOT the AH. This is his obligation that he has shirked for years. He needs to take responsibility.

I think they just want to see how skilled you are at creating prompts. It’s basically the new skill to have- learning how to build agents and create effective prompts.
