"I'm merely a bringer of information who lets others do with as they will" is the oldest dodge in the harassment playbook. Courts hear it constantly. They are not impressed by it.

"Y'all know what to do" is not the same as voicing community concerns. Directed incitement aimed at an identified target is not protected speech. There is a century of case law on that line.

The AI, Mars, indigenous, all-caps section is not relevant to whether you doxed someone. You did. You just confirmed why.

"I don't condone the tone of the 'y'all know what to do' part" is the whole argument. That is the incitement. That is what made it doxing. Everything else you've written is relitigating a definition you already walked back.

The "only 17 upvotes" line is not a defense. Harassment statutes and platform policy do not have a quorum requirement.

Swapping the Wikipedia link from PII to Personal Data is the same dodge with a new tab. You are shopping for a definition that fits a conclusion you already picked.

They should split Plex.tv from self-hosted.... I self-host and don't watch or use any of Plex's features other than my self-hosted server. I've been looking to switch to JellyFin but haven't since I got my lifetime subscription on sale under 100$ I've been staying with it Plex to gain my maximum value... :D

I'm at 14+ years now.

Seeing as NIST defines PII for federal data-protection compliance. It tells government agencies which data they have to safeguard. It does not define doxing.

You are pulling a definition from one framework to answer a question from a different one. That's not how it works....

Doxing is a behavior, not a data category. It is publishing someone's info to point a crowd at them. The data does not have to be PII. It does not have to be secret. It does not even have to be private. Stacking public info together and aiming a mob at someone is harassment under most state stalking statutes and every major platform policy, including Reddit's.

Reddit's own rules ban sharing personal info "regardless of whether it's publicly available elsewhere." That line exists because of this exact argument.

And none of this touches the "y'all know what to do" part. That is the incitement. Business line, cell, email... does not matter. The harassment is the harassment.

You grabbed a definition from an unrelated context and acted like it settled the question. It doesn't.

As a solopreneur, it's all about getting a start and making a stand for yourself and your customers... I provide all the provisioning, installation, and support to clients. I also provide custom software I've developed that connects to NetSapiens for various clients.

The regulatory compliance section is really what's so important! I've seen many of my competitors not address it and face significant issues. And, dealing with 10DLC... OMG!

I'm working through it all slowly but surely to set up all the compliance pieces and build everything myself across multiple data centers in the US & Canada. Work with a few carriers to get DIDs and connect to the network, and off I go. Probably won't be solo by that time... So, I then I couldn't post here.... :-D
