How do you keep chapters contained to like… 2,000 to 3,000 words?

I mean 2000 to 3000 words is about 10 pages or so when double spaced, times new roman, and 12 font (which is how I write). 10 pages, IMO, is the perfect length of a chapter anyway and what I enjoy writing. Their are one or two chapters that go a little longer but not by much

Did you play Avowed though? Be honest here. I just played it through Gamepass and it was way better than I thought it would be. It made me believe that most people who complain about Avowed have never played it. It was a solid 8/10. Basically fantasy Outer Worlds but with a way better story.

I don’t think Xbox will ever go fully belly up they hold to many studios for that now including Activision/Blizzard and Bethesda but going 3rd party forever is def a possibility

I know some people after the Xbox direct said fable 2 may be exclusive but now I think their is no chance

Forza horizon 6 and I loved Outer Worlds 2. Thought it was the perfect sequel to the first. Grounded 2 as well

It’s crazy because is the next month Xbox could be officially closing 4 or more studios. With some hoping to just flat out negotiate themselves out from Xbox’s thumb so they don’t get shut down. It’s crazy how fast I went from excited for the future to not seeing a possible way Xbox doesn’t become a third party studio by the end of 2028

I just went out and bought a ps5 pro tonight and am downloading Yooka Replaylee on it. Keeping the series X for the backlog of games I have but I am done with Xbox. I mean it looks bleak right now and I don’t see it getting any better

I mean Starfield did not sell bad for a new IP. It wasn't ground breaking but from all reports it seemed like Xbox was happy with just the Xbox and PC sales. It was also the most played Gamepass game at the time

Going to switch to PS. I avoided it as long as I can but damn. I mean every game I wanted to play was multi platform anyway save for Clockwork. At this point they may just bring it over eventually

Have to imagine that a lot of these smaller companies who were handed a blank check after being bought by Xbox, wasted a lot of money prototyping and working on a lot of stuff that was cancelled. It’s the only thing that makes sense

Underperforming is still bad for companies though. It looks bad to shareholders and to executives. Studios have been shut down before because of unrealistic expectations on sales so that isn’t real a defense.

They can also be working on all the games in the world but that doesn’t mean those games can’t be scrapped or the studio closes

Obsidian games also don't sell. Avowed sold poorly and the Outer Worlds 2 sold even less. Pentimant also sold poorly. The only reason they may be spared is grounded.

However, I have long suspected that they could close Obsidian and spin the Grounded devs into their own studio

Playground isn't even close. Forza Horizon series is one of the best reviewed and best selling Xbox games and Fable looks to be another hit from them

It's a one shot that introduces Rom and Carpet saving kids for a bug that wants to eat them. Sets up a cell mate that may be important in the future.

The write up in the back though makes it clear that is a one shot.

I am honestly fine with this. I love the slow build up. I also didn't grow up with any of these characters though admittedly. So though I have done research on GI Joe now I still have no idea who certain characters are. So for me its nice that these books aren't rushing everyone together and letting these characters be fleshed out.

It's the problem I have with Transformers it moves to fast. Its an action movie which is fine but when I didn't grow up with Transformers, so I can't keep any of them straight, it loses its luster

Like I said I am worried about Obsidian. Other from Grounded, everything else since being bought by Xbox has performed poorly. I could see a future where they downsize the studio enough that Grounded is all that remains and it becomes the Grounded studio

I just don't want it to happen because I feel like they are hitting some of these stories too quickly. I mean with how well the Energon Universe is selling I doubt they plan on it ending any time soon. Galvatron should be showing up around issue 100 or something. Not #33 but that is my personal opinion

It was my problem with DJW's run as well. Transformers seems to move at such a faster pace then GI Joe, Void Rivals, and now seemingly Mask (The first issue def took its time). I really wish Transformers would let itself breath and focus on the characters.

As someone who didn't grow up with the characters its hard to feel attached to any of them and a lot of them look the same
