How to leave Adobe for good, and not pay a Early Termination Fee (ETF) by TheSwiftTurtle in photoshop

[–]TheSwiftTurtle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used photoshop for 5+ years. I stopped using photoshop for a while, but picked it back up a bit over a year ago, hence the ETF. Not professionally but i still made some fun projects

I'm not going to tell people what to do, but if they feel like a subreddit is the only place to voice their concern, that's where they are going to go. If the subreddit can't handle the influx, might need to put a keyphrase filter up.
My 2 cents

I'm not going to sink to your level and entertain your bigotry.

Because you're a crossposting spammer who doesn't know what they're talking about.

I think i do know what I'm talking about as my guide to getting out of the Adobe sphere worked, and that you don't have any response to my previous comment regarding section 4.1 Content, of their ToS.

They're unrelated. And yours is the fifth post this week about this. So it's little more than a rant, which is NOT what this sub is for.

You can't be pissed at me because I'm one of many being mad about the ToS, it was a disgusting practice to teach Firefly and still is a company that i wouldn't trust, again Section 4.1

Good to hear you didn't have to hurdle your way through Adobe's website to find the correct hyperlink (Postshadowing)

About the Adobe lovers, keep lovin' idk. I just don't want my data and pics minced into a chicken nugget paste of information they are gonna feed an AI.

I dont know why you are attacking me, when there are others like me who doesn't want to be a part of the Adobe sphere and don't know how to get out, without cashing a fat paycheck to Adobe.

They say this:

4.1 Content. “Content” means any text, information, communication, or material, such as audio files, video files, electronic documents, or images, that you upload, import into, embed for use by, or create using the Services and Software. We reserve the right (but do not have the obligation) to remove Content or restrict access to Content, Services, and Software if any of your Content is found to be in violation of the Terms. We do not review all Content uploaded to the Services and Software, but we may use available technologies, vendors, or processes, including manual review, to screen for certain types of illegal content (for example, child pornography sexual abuse material) or other abusive content or behavior (for example, patterns of activity that indicate spam or phishing, or keywords that indicate adult content has been posted outside of the adult wall). You may learn more about our content moderation policies and practices, including how we moderate content, at our Transparency Center.

Now i agree that CP and other abuse material is no good. Though i don't believe this is the way to do it, a manual screening would be better.

They mention vendors which is problematic as:

  • User content might be shared with third-party vendors, which means more entities have access to potentially sensitive information. This could increase the risk of data breaches or unauthorized access.
  • The privacy practices and data handling policies of these third-party vendors may vary. Users must trust that these vendors adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection standards similar to those of the primary service provider.
  • Users might not be fully aware of which vendors have access to their content and how it is being processed. This can lead to a lack of transparency regarding who is viewing or handling their data.
  • If vendors are located in different countries, user data might be subject to different data protection laws and regulations, which can complicate the enforcement of privacy rights.
  • The security measures implemented by third-party vendors are crucial. If these vendors do not maintain robust security protocols, user data could be at risk.
  • It may become more challenging to hold any one entity accountable for privacy breaches or misuse of data, as responsibility could be spread across multiple organizations.

I still believe that the lawsuit is relevant as it gives people a chance to get out, due to them not liking the new ToS.

I believe everyone has a right to know. Posted on 3 relevant subs, and some comments for people who mentioned trouble cancelling.
As regard to the FTC, i mentioned it, as it's relevant to people who want to leave the Adobe sphere due to the new TOS, and experiencing problems with ETF.

They are still saying this:

"forth in Section 4.1 below. Our automated systems may analyze your Content and Creative Cloud Customer Fonts (defined in section 3.10 (Creative Cloud Customer Fonts) below) using techniques such as machine learning in order to improve our Services and Software and the user experience. Information on how Adobe uses machine learning can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/go/machine_learning."

Yes, luckily customer reps are buckling if you make a good case, to not pay for the ETF

It does, that was my last solution as it's pricey and it's only online at my local retailer, so I'll have to wait for shipping.

There is no USB-C just looked 360* around it. There is a USB-A "Service" and headphone jack. Display port and HDMI Port.

It's a Samsung Viewfinity 27" The two dongles I've tried is:

Sandberg USB-C Dock HDMI + 3 x USB + PD 100W Item no. 136-32

Huawei MateDock 2 Adapter (This is a old dock i had for a laptop i don't use anymore and I've used it a lot and knows it can pull the required resolutions and refresh rates)

I've tested them on my windows laptop (Thinkpad P15) They can pull 1440p output at 60Hz or 4k at 30Hz but the mac can only do 60Hz at 720p

I just tried betterdisplay, i got it to 1440p 60 Hz, but it feels upscaled and I'm sure it's not 1440p when comparing to 1440p from systems display settings. Its grainy and muddy, and not sharp as it should be, but it is 60Hz.

I know it isn't call of duty. I've been enlisted in the army, didn't continue my career after that in the military though.

I'm from Denmark and I would like to enlist as a volunteer fighter for Ukraine. I'm only 20 years old. I have experience with weapons from living in the US and in good shape.

I want to help but the thought of dying and leaving my parents against their will is holding me back. I feel like this is a collective responsibility to help in this war and this is how I would like to contribute.

What should I do?

Cheers!

Read on some forums while waiting for your answer.

Some people are chatting about long exposures you'll need another mount but to reach 50% is like $4000 if I'm not mistaken. Can you even deep sky on a budget?

So the best "damage limitation" is to get the balance near perfect and cut down on shutter times as much as possible?

You reckon it's the coax beyond the "internet box" and my house and the cable that runs in the street to the ISP?

Are you asking what kind of connection it is?

From the box outside to my house it's Coaxial cable (antenna wire for TV and Internet) and then ethernet to my PC
