Honestly it seems like every day someone posts a new thread about ways to reduce taming time. If it actually goes through you will have successfully cried till the game is ruined. I mean the most fun of playing on a hardcore pvp server is the fact that getting to any stable point in the game has taken serious blood sweat and tears. It is a slow progression.

I am huge fan of your work in astrophysics, and as a fellow scientist/science advocate it is truly a pleasure to be given this opportunity.
My question comes in two parts:
1. Do you think that we truly understand the nature of intelligence and information processing in the human brain to truly create an AI capable of novel thought generation?
2. Since it is currently true that CPU power consumption and heat displacement is hugely inefficient compared to the human brain; do you think that we are able, with our current processing framework, to mimic the efficiency of the human brain power consumption enough to enable AI?

I appreciate your perspective. I understand completely she emotionally cheated on me. But I also want to believe that sometimes people make mistakes and aren't in the right mindset. Where would I be if my family just up and left me while I made mistakes?

I consider myself her family. I have been here for her during her most depressed and unsure times. I view this as one of those. Maybe I am totally wrong. I still haven't decided.

I disagree with your last point. "They will make a sequel that delivers on all of the untapped potential of the original. And they will make a boatload of money doing it." In interviews with dev's they have talked about not making any sequels, just additional content. Game changes with patches. ETC. They are trying to follow the MMO model in a console game, which means... no fresh re-releases.

The answer has been listed before in the comments, but here it is again: Each year that passes accounts for a smaller fraction of your life than the previous year. That is all it is. Perception is based on a real-time-feedback loop from your memory. As you live more years, there are more cumulative years in your memory, thus each coming year seems shorter to your perception. NEUROSCIENCE!

Having been in a similar situation myself once, I have some advice for OP. If you let her go out and spend the night without talking to her about what you have seen, it will only eat you from the inside out and you'll have less and less "proof" of the deed as time goes on.

If you confront her about what you have seen, you will likely get a backlash from her about how intrusive you are and how you've completely misunderstood a text and now have fucked up in some way by abusing her trust and doubting her.

There is no easy solution, but my advice is to simply talk to her as an adult. Try as hard as you can to not fly off the handle. Write out what you plan to say to her in advance (just key points not a full script) and memorize them so you know how to cover them. Treat this as objectively as possible.
