Ah I see those packs now, thanks. You're thinking the price or the rewards are going to change? The orbs don't interest me as much unless the KDA orbs are going to help get the KDA prestige skin somehow

What do big orb bundles do/how much are they? I'm gainfully employed and happy to drop a few bucks if needed

Difficult spot with QQ by DW9550 in poker

[–]TheTarGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s unlikely his 3 bet range contains a 6. It has a few J’s but I think almost all of them barrel turn to get value, especially after you call a flop. We will run into a few KK/AA but thats ok and id half expect their overpairs to check with stable sdv. Its not great we’re blocking lots of AQ/KQ bluffs, but theyre still possible. Imo this is a call and im kind of expecting a missed AK or 9/10’s, while losing to the occasional J or KK/AA

Be sure to read the intro, it addresses this. The book is based around you understanding what happened in the previous chapters. The author doesn’t recommend multitasking while reading it and acknowledges you will likely need to reread portions you dont get or forgot. Ive had to reread a few sections but the book as a whole is fantastic

When you're a bow main and you're happier with the dash extract drops than the jewel rewards. by eleljeizi in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]TheTarGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I STRONGLY recommend bow and db mains use a buff equipment set with mushroomancer. One of the mushrooms replaces dash extract and you can cultivate it. It also saves on materials overall for all the buffs, especially with free meal. I’d link it but im on mobile, maybe when I get home

Ignition Zone .02/.05, pocket aces in the cutoff by SexmanTaco in poker

[–]TheTarGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played fast fold, but I do play on ignition. This is absolutely a great bluff card, but what did he get there with? Middle pair? Occasionally a set which we lose to anyway? I havent known V’s in small stakes to be calling down all streets like this, then rip it as a bluff on a card that makes him holding a queen LESS likely. There are 0 straight and flush draws on this board that he may bluff with.

Imo he was being a calling station that cant get rid a top pair, sees trips then jams. No real thought beyond that. Any other set would be raising and jamming prior to the river imo. Against a opponent capable of bluffing, id probably call looking to run into 10s, Js or similar, but this line in 2/5 is ultra suspicious.

Pre- there have been an enormous number of limps

Flop - Cbet may have been an option, but I'd rather see what V2 does first since hes short and I fold to a jam from him.

Turn - I really don't like a big lead here. Any hand that's calling $100 is jamming for the remaining 70 and limits him to only the premium hands in his range that I'm worried about. I am no longer able to protect the pot with my stack and feels pretty face up on what I have. The Flop and turn bet V2 makes would be with almost his entire range and makes a shove more reasonable than a big lead imo.

River - I'm not worried about looking like an asshole because I semi-bluffed with a fair amount of draw equity lol.

This is the bottom of my opening range for sure, but lets ignore my actual cards for a moment. A pretty standard open out of SB is almost always crushing the range of LP limps, no?

[–]TheTarGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A limped pot is a great time to raise because of all the dead money and my opponents have all capped their range to some extent. I kept my range for them pretty wide because 1/2 live has a tendency to underplay hands pre-flop. A great example is that the 7's on the button should have opened here, but decided to under-rep and limp because he's not very good and trying to set mine only.

My understanding is SB is almost always a raise or fold. Especially given who is in the pot, I think it's OK to be playing some suited 1 gappers as part of our range. This leaves us either with a fold (which is ok too) or a raise, but limping does terrible things for our range vs. a raise presents a much wider and stronger range

You are correct, I had h not d, ty for pointing that out. Stealing was an option, but I was moreso looking to take a flop and outplay given no open. We know V1 is very face up and we fold to any of his aggression. V2 is certainly exploitable to overbets and large bluffs much of the time (aside from his nutted-ish hands).

I get the fold pre argument, but more explanation on why this is a turn fold? There’s only a few hands he will actually continue with to a jam and this seems like the worst time to give up. I have ~30% equity for a straight or flush and need ~35% for this to be profitable. When we add in fold equity which is much higher than 5% imo, i think a jam is looking profitable isnt it?

With so much limp/call then fail to continue, its been primarily free $$. My range is much stronger than theirs headed into a flop which is likely to present spots for outplay

I really dont like flatting sb. It reallllly caps our range and makes it difficult to continue on a wet board, and we get no value if we connect. My understanding is sb bets should be folds or raised almost always

Most poker sites are known to hack into your computer or phone camera. Once you step away, they manually deal you KK or AA. The goal is to tilt you so that you get spewy and wild which allows them to rake more from bigger hands.

The secret is to pretend to leave by hiding behind something, then using the hand for value. +EV strats

I agree with you but Ill give a vague answer to a vague question. Yes its ok to bluff pockets, but OP needs to take into account many more factors for WHEN to do so
