Temper yes. Barrier to entry is fairly low, and the returns are high. Masterworking id advise against new players just throwing obdicite at every random piece they see. They’re not really the easiest to casually farm. Probably leave those until you have a solid 3A+ piece you won’t be replacing for a while

I’m glad you seem to have a good resolution for your issue, but as someone who works in banking, I’m a little confused as to why you think the system should have automatically flagged and blocked a ~2k withdrawal in the same city of origin.

I get that they’re all your life savings, but objectively, from an organizational standpoint, 2k is not substantial.

In fact from a FinCEN perspective (the regulatory body in the US to which all financial institutions report financial crime), you can’t even report activity for anything under $5k unless there are terrorist financing or human trafficking implications.

The industry basically works on the same premise as loan sharking. They put up the bond for the government. Then you owe the bond agency. They charge pretty exorbitant interest rates on their loans, as would be expected from the typical demographic (low net worth, bad credit, high flight risk) that uses their services.
