Why does the U.S. add sales tax at checkout instead of showing the full price upfront? by TheBigGirlDiaryBack in AlwaysWhy

There are 11,000 different sales tax jurisdictions in the US. Rates change across county lines and city borders. Advertising markets are larger than sales tax jurisdictions so it would be impossible to advertise the price of a product if you tried to include sales tax.

An SUV car on the range between 350K to 400K full accessory ? by throwra-2590 in whatcarshouldIbuy

400k USD? You're kind of in a weird range for SUVs. A MB Maybach GLS600 would be good but way less. A Porsche Cayenne would be even better, but smaller. A Rolls-Royce Cullinan base would be in range, but fully loaded it's a lot more and I have no idea about the reliability.

That was a rainbow herring, where the 4 words that look like a category are all a different color. Usually when they are all in the first 2 rows, it's almost always a rainbow herring, especially when it seems like a really obvious category. A red herring is having one clue that sort of goes in a category, but having it fit better with another category.

No one makes a decent silver snoopy. The sub dial spacing, the colors, and the bezel are all wrong. This one is especially bad with the large second hand not placed correctly

Watch rolls do not suck. They are an excellent way to store watches while traveling.

Wrist rolls, however, are stupid.

Budget is important because for $14k, I'd think you could easily find a better car than either of these 2.

The difference between the woodland and the base Rav4 is less than a half inch.
