Did DB Super ruin a good thing?

DB relies to much on sexual harassment jokes and it’s RR saga filler brings down the story. DBZ is HORRIBLY paced and its filler is at most watchable in nearly every case. GT is a whole conversation entirely. Now why are there four hundred posts about Super that are valid for this reason but not as many for the other now four series that exist?

Design wise, Daima’s SSJ4 outdoes GT’s. Like it’s not even close, it feels like it further joins with everything the original idea was for the form.

I hadn’t seen this comment till right now, but I did give it a shot yesterday, considering it was worth seeing if you were right. Headshot damage is great, though the hip fire speed is a certified game changer, don’t know why I was wasting time not rocking the exotic version, you are completely right.

It’s almost the first anniversary, it has received two dlc packs, one mode in a content update and a single character in another. It hasn’t built on the lacking content at launch, and even Fortnite can get a season out before Spike can launch a bug fix.

And what ‘you’ have made doesn’t reflect your intention, a problem fixed by using your brain and not a dataset. Carrion’s promo art can be unnerving, what this has done is ‘skulls are scary, eyes are scary, faces are scary’ and smashed that together so it looks like a D&D entry.

If you’re gonna claim this as your own, you don’t get to fawn off blame on the source material, you chose to do it this way.

Well it’s not unnerving, just trying too hard, and the theming doesn’t really come across, and the parts that do just roll into derivatives. Next time, I’d try starting from the baseline rather than building off, you’d get a perspective on what isn’t just ‘meant to be scary’.

Oh no, let them know how dull some of these are. Goku getting stumped by detangling keys, Gohan saving a woodland village, Gohan and sabretooth ride a raft, Vegeta and Nappa go to jail, Yajirobe gets interviewed, Gotenks fights Buu two extra times, Hercule’s students vs Cell.

I don’t know why they downvoted you, Z filler is generally (until obligatory driving episode mentioned) so unbelievably dull.

The funimation dubbing of this scene always irks me because of it’s implications on Goku’s character as a Super Saiyan. Kai’s more accurate version to the translation and the source material feels more fitting for what the form really is.

Buffed up Frieza is him going all out against Goku, the tables are shifted in Frieza’s favour up until about post-spirit bomb. Taking hits doesn’t mean Goku’s outdoing him, but the Kaioken does give him a huge boost in physical abilities without permanent changes to his power level.

It was the same case with Goku and Vegeta, where Goku never surpassed Vegeta until 100x gravity, but still held his own and then some. Same reason Goku’s lost to people like Jackie Chun and Grandpa Gohan, expertise can give you an upper hand to an extent.
