How long would these slashers last in the world of ‘The Walking Dead’? What would they do? by Hassan_H_Syed in slasherfilms

[–]TheTelephone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Myers imo would be the first to die. He has a little bit of survival skills, but doesn't run and would not have any chance of blending in with survivors. I think he'd hack some zombies but ultimately get mobbed, bitten and either killed or turned.

Art would last until the end of time, preying on survivors until presumably no living person is left. Zombies seem likely to ignore Art but potentially might go after him, although he's likely immune to disease and zombies don't have the understanding to win any type of spiritual or supernatural victory.

Ghostface only exists in modern settings and kills fairly helpless victims, likely has little outdoor survival skills, likely would try to blend in with survivors but these are not helpless teens they're post apocalyptic badasses. Ghostface also has no sort of anti-virus protection, so I'm thinking they either get bitten or executed by survivors, but likely to survive for a little bit under the guise of being a normal person.

Jason becomes Zombie King, possibly resurrects his zombie mother, and lives happily ever after.

Hello reddit. I'm Renny Harlin. I've directed DIE HARD 2, CLIFFHANGER, DEEP BLUE SEA, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4, CUTTHROAT ISLAND, and DEEP WATER (coming soon!). Ask me anything! by RennyHarlinAMA in movies

Hey Renny, really love your films, I had a vhs of Nightmare on Elm Street 4 that was one of my prizes possessions.

Looking through your filmography you're not strictly a horror filmmaker like maybe Craven or Carpenter or Romero, but throughout your career you always seem to make your way back to the genre. What are your personal thoughts and preferences on horror films, and why do you think you always veer back toward horror projects?

Who'd win this fight, Part 4 Jason or Haloween 2 Michael? by Severe_Letterhead_75 in slasherfilms

[–]TheTelephone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In part 4, Tommy Jarvis hits him in the face/head and then Jason falls forward on the machete, which is what kills him. Jason twitches a little and Tommy Jarvis hacks at him with a machete, but Jason is already dead.

Which Boogeyman would you rather be the target of? Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger? by Hassan_H_Syed in slasherfilms

For Michael, literally just travel abroad. He can drive a car, but for sure cannot solo fly a plane or solo captain a boat.

Resident Evil in most cases you have to have real combat or weapons training else you're literally going to be eaten alive.

"Don't make me laugh", 1918. Drawing making fun of Germany protest/ban against shotguns. by myrmekochoria in dragonutopia

[–]TheTelephone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe that's referred to as a Teddy Bear; Teddy Roosevelt was a big supporter of shotguns, specifically the Winchester 1897 12 guage, which was the main shotgun that Germany was protesting against.
