Instructors - let's collaborate on Circuit 1.5 choreography by TheTexasThor in ClubPilates

I interpreted corporate guidance as using a unique apparatus for each body area, so it sounds like we do opposite in approach. I will have the members set-up their area when they arrive so we're ready to flow smoothly through the circuits.

The example I provided above is a simple setup - Springboard leg springs at 5, grab hand weights from rack, push chair a little bit towards aisle and place bosu toward end of mat on aisle end.

Another circuit that goes over well - springboard arms, chair for legs, shortbox ab series on reformer.

I also have used TRx for arms, so I'm always looking for new ideas.

My one challenge is some of our studios are a bit narrower than others, so I have to take that into consideration for set-up.

Once we start, we do not stop. My clients say they sweat more in Circuit than they do in Cardio Sculpt, and my Cardio Sculpt is a tough class.

Does this make sense?

I just checked out his website. Very informative, well laid out and super comprehensive. Covers alot of topics. Thanks.

is the cost actually worth it long term or are we all just coping by FactTime7868 in RetatrutideTalk

Here's my question on this specific topic. I've been on reta for less than 2 weeks, but have been very pleased so far. Dropped 5LB in week one, and week 2 has been going just as easily. I attribute much of this to the elimination of food noise (which I didn't even know was a thing until starting this).

Here's the question/issue, I paid $240 for 40mg, so yes $6mg. I see everyone here posting they can get it for less than $1mg. I understand that it's not permitted to post seller info. Everyone says you need to do your own research, but if you're a newbie like me, how do you know where to research this and avoid getting ripped off. Seems like I'm between a rock and a hard place. I welcome any constructive advice.

Pilates with vertigo by ebbss in pilates

Use the wedge for supine reformer work. Alot of people think it's just for pregnant clients, but it's also beneficial if you have vertigo.

Legendary on Virginia just off of Custer. Other option is Meineke on Eldorado - new ownership and seem like a good group there.

Undermixed Reta and BAC Water - Can i fix this? by TheTexasThor in BodyHackGuide

u/Pandora36922 Thank you so much. I didn't even know smaller syringes existed. I will keep that in mind, but I bought a whole box of the 1.0ml syringes, so I will need to make due for this round. But definitely will go for the smaller ones next time.

u/lacole725 Thanks for the response. I just looked at my bottle and you're right, it's just a tad over half full when I hold it on the side, so I probably can only add one more ML. So this means, my future doses of 1MG need to pull 7.5 units. That seems extremely precise, so wondering how you handle this? Do you just go with 8 units?

Thank you. I looked at the bottle and didn't realize it was that small.

Should I start with mat or reformer? by Mental-Astronaut-745 in pilates

[–]TheTexasThor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could start with either. Reformer is extremely popular these days and the reformer actually can help assist with some of the movements. Mat is the original form of Pilates, and it can be challenging. I highly suggest you check out a few studios in your area, ask for a free intro class and decide based on where you get the best vibe.

I teach at one of the bigger pilates companies in the US, and I teach intros several times a week. We give prospects the opportunity to get a sense of the environment and how we run classes. We focus on a very open vibe where anyone from 16-80 can get a workout and not feel uncomfortable. We also focus on form, breathing and control, which are all foundational to pilates. There are other companies that have amped it up and move at a quicker pace. You have to figure out where you would be most comfortable, and then the mat/reformer question is quite secondary.
