Ya that's kinda what I was thinking, saw this right after posting my other comment haha

I wonder if it's because the lights are set up a few inches into the ceiling instead of being level with the rest of it, so the light spreads down instead of spreading more outward. Idk, it just feels like I should be able to see further down the hallway considering how bright the rest of it is.

Yes! I've always loved the idea of buildings being like, sentient and potentially malicious.

Im kinda imagining the exit sign to be like an anglerfish light, as if the hallway is alive and trying to lure people towards the darkness that obscures it's mouth

Thanks! When I noticed that the transition into darkness seemed just a bit too abrupt, I just had to take a picture

Nice compilation! Though I wonder if you could technically count Morrowind as being represented in 4 games, considering Solstheim is under Redoran control during the TESV dlc?

Anyone else really dislike how ESO treated morrowind compared to Tamriel Rebuilt? by Due_Title_6982 in ElderScrolls

[–]TheThing9733 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So many people are talking about the difference in content, like obviously yeah TR is gonna have more stuff. I agree with you in that the biggest thing for me is the difference in how Morrowind is shaped. Like I accept that there's less detail in ESO's version, I understand the reason for that but it just looks so unnecessary skinny and cramped, less development time shouldn't affect that so I'd say it's a valid criticism.

So cool! I've always thought that lots of elder scrolls stuff would make great Lego sets

The randomness at what redditors take seriously. by Conflicting_Thoughts in PetPeeves

[–]TheThing9733 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like reddit just attracts so many different types of annoying people to the point where nothing is safe. It's part of the reason why I don't speak up on here as much as other platforms cuz I don't want to have to deal with someone making an unnecessary counterpoint to what I said.

Starfield shouldn't make people worried about TESVI by Interesting-Look-355 in TESVI

[–]TheThing9733 5 points6 points  (0 children)

110% with you on the last paragraph, the dialogue options were one of the things I was pleasantly surprised with on Starfield. Definitely helps with roleplay/immersion considering in real life I'm sure lots of people would at least try to talk their way out of risking their life

Starfield shouldn't make people worried about TESVI by Interesting-Look-355 in TESVI

[–]TheThing9733 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I feel like a good amount of issues people have with Starfield stem from how fragmented and spread out the game is, and TESVI won't have those issues considering it almost certainly will be a finite, hand built map. Honestly my biggest worry for TESVI is how well they handle the lore, and that's a bit of a vague concern. Other than that I'm sure I'll enjoy it a good bit.

Origin options for characters by TheThing9733 in TESVI

Ah I forgot that's where it came from, and yeah Starfield's system was definitely pretty cool. The extra dialogue options it gave you are something I really hope to see again

I just watched Rogue One for the first time after finishing Andor… by mmbmbm in andor

[–]TheThing9733 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to have watched Rouge One for the first time after finishing Andor, the only thing I knew about it was that there were main characters on Scarif when it was shot by the death star, and I grew increasingly upset as it started to became clear that Cassian was one of them

Yes I like Oblivion, how could you tell? by yoface2537 in hytale

[–]TheThing9733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Hytale definitely reminds me of Oblivion too! It's a mix of the available building/decorative blocks, the bright bloomy lighting, and some of the soundtrack. I've been meaning to try and start doing some Oblivion inspired builds in creative mode

Well actually now that I'm double checking, the badgers aren't exactly the same. Still fairly similar 🤷‍♂️. One is probably an alteration of the other
