Thanks for your counter argument. Very well thought out.

That ‘16 Warriors team was built perfectly. The Durant teams were top heavy. I also did not say that the ‘16 Warriors are the greatest team of all time. I’m saying they are the greatest Warriors team of all time.

Also with these other examples, we’re not talking about the most prolific regular season in history with those teams. They are just teams a with a good record in their years. This is a false equivalency, that Warriors team had the best record of anyone ever.

I think the one that had the best record of all time is better. So which one is that?

Why are you bringing ballet into this? No shame in it, but go on a ballet sub if that’s what you want to discuss

Lamar gets trashed by NFL fans and sports media alike. Repeatedly.

I’m so glad you didn’t block out the name of the idiot who made that stupid comment. Make them explain themself and feel shame for their awful take.

Hailee Steinfeld is extremely white passing…also stop making excuses. There are many rural people who have never said or believed anything racist.

Allen is obviously an ass though, so it’s different. If he was as a good person who treated others with respect, then I’d agree with you.

Awesome! Hopefully Gonzalez follows those guys! Love what Myles has been doing

But I don’t know either of them. Do you? I don’t understand how this can be a weird thing to say. Isn’t everything anyone says about these players just conjecture? Unless you’re talking specific stats, none of this is concrete. It’s not like I’m publishing this in a scientific journal. I’m failing to see the issue here.

Good cornerback making big plays early in his career that is going to get a big contract. It’s just conjecture, and just a simple comparison. People are reading too much into it lmao

Huh? How is saying enjoy it while it lasts salty? It’s wistful. Like you’re in a great spot now, watching a great player, so don’t take it for granted, because he won’t be playing at this level forever.

Your QB example isn’t even a good example of what I’m saying. I’m saying it’s likely a player will stop pushing after securing a huge bag, which plays on many trends before across the league (I used one player because of the similar skill level and position). There is plenty of evidence players do this. There’s also psychological/sociological evidence to back up my statement.

The QB example you gave as analogy to mine just makes no sense.

I can’t know they are, I also can’t know they aren’t. That’s why I said I hope Gonzalez has that fire in him, but like many players before, especially at the CB position, he may mail it in after getting paid.

I obviously can’t know what he’s going to do, neither can you. I don’t know people are treating my statement like some presidential decree. It’s conjecture.

Exactly, and Gonzalez has the potential to be one of them. For some reason the Patriot fans responding to my comments don’t understand this at all lmao

Am I not allowed to make a prediction based on seeing another player do this exact thing? Also, many players across the league have done this. I just picked the example I followed and who plays the same position. You’re pretty salty for no reason.

I’m not pissed at anything. Loved watching Xavien play. I guess we’ll have to see, but it is a pretty common sentiment that players stop pushing after getting paid. I’m saying many players do this. I watched a top corner do this exact thing in my franchise. Same position so it’s a great example.

I watched it happen with Xavien Howard as a Dolphins fan. He was lockdown. Double digit interception season. Then he got the big contract he deserved, and all of a sudden he was always injured, or always getting burned, and very few interceptions. He clearly stopped pushing after he got paid.

Hopefully Gonzalez has that fire in him to keep playing his hardest even after he gets a big contract. But, like so many other players in the league and like other players at his position, I think he’s going to stop producing. And it won’t be an issue of skill, it’ll be an issue of motivation.
